We had a wonderful time exploring Old Town Heidelberg from the centrally located, museum-like hotel. The decor and rooms gave this hotel a cozy and interesting feeling as if you were wandering around your own chateau. It was a quick walk to the car park and to the funicular that takes you to the Heidelberg Castle. We could also reach...

Location is ideal, and even with the busy street downstairs, it was very quiet. Be prepared to carry your luggage through numerous tight corridors! The breakfast was not good value for money at all. Very poorly prepared scrambled egg! Also the room got quite warm at night, but the bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were super helpful, but the...

This hotel is in a perfect central location - walk everywhere. Fanincular to the castle is really close, many restaurants are an easy walk. Handsome room with very modern, very clean bathroom, big comfortable bed, really generous breakfast, and helpful staff. Definitely recommend it!

Went to Heidelberg on business in the old town. This hotel was great, the room was comfy, clean and quiet (I had room 117 that faced a narrow side street). The bathroom was nice, front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location can't be beat. Definitely recommend. Wifi was fine, I had no problems with it, including streaming...

I spent an academic year in Heidelberg during a college year-abroad program in the 1980s, and I determined back then to return someday and stay in the Hotel Ritter, which I thought was the height of elegance. I finally got the chance to do so last month, and it was worth the wait! The Hotel Ritter is historic, having been...

We ate lunch here with a group of 28. The service was top notch and the food was very hot. We had a chicken breast with spaetzle and vegetables. The desert was a very interesting ice cream with a cookie on the bottom. It was a very tasty meal.

After 50 years of firstnear the top of the building only reachable by stairs for the last floor, but it sported wonderful views of the castle and especially the burning of the castle (an historical staging of the original burning). It was an extremely comfortable room with a nice en suite. Buffet breakfast in the breakfast room was delicious and...

My wife and I stayed at this old beautiful hotel for a Valentine's break. I love Heidleberg and wanted a short visit to see what the town was like out of high season. The location of this hotel is excellent. Smack dab in the pedestrian shopping and restaurant area and an easy walk to the old bridge and castle.
