Where can you stay in a luxury atmosphere in a 16th-century building? In Heidelberg's oldest and most beautiful historical town house, guests can look forward to 37 cosy non-smoking rooms divided in Standard, Superior and Deluxe categories. No room resembles the other: In the historic part of the hotel you can enjoy views of the market square and the "Heiliggeistkirche" in cosy romantic rooms. In the more modern part you will find rooms in a classic contemporary style. Most of these rooms offer views of the town centre or even the castle ruins. All rooms have a shower or bath, a telephone, free WiFi, cable TV, slippers, a minibar and a large bottle of water. Our guests can now also enjoy high-quality toiletries. We offer an extensive breakfast buffet with sparkling wine and à-la-carte egg dishes for € 15.00.

This hotel is a classic from a bygone era. It is well appointed with double windows to reduce the noise from the street as well as keeping the cold outside. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only down side was loosing hot water but burst pipes happen in cold weather.

Dull room in the annex part. No AC.
Dear Anna, thank you for your kind request. From Heidelberg mainstation you have multiple ways to reach us. First one you could take the tram no. 5 (towards Weinheim) or no. 21 (towards Bismarckplatz) - in each case until the station Bismarckplatz. There you take the Bus no. 31 or 32 (towards Altstadt/Universitätsplatz) until the station Universitätsplatz/University Square). Walk in viewing direction of Heidelberg Castle. After aprox. 350 m you'll find our hotel on the right. Otherwise you could take a taxi which will takes you directly within approx. 10-15 minutes to us. We are looking forward to welcome you and wish a pleasant stay in our hotel. Kind regards Matthias

Not sure what the city room taxes are, but why would that be of interest for starters? See comments on parking, you will find all answers there.
