We stayed at the Hotel Die Hirschgasse over 2 nights enroute to the south and Switzerland and Italy in August 2016. The property is extremely charming, as are the staff, who are polite and accommodating. Our room was on the top floor of the hotel, up 2 flights of stairs and consisted of a large suite with both a bedroom...

Dear globalhol, Thank you so much for the profound lines describing your stay with us. You stayed actually in the Maisonette Suite which actually gives a little bit of a little house and home feeling. "air con" - I wonder what Mark Twain - our historic VIP would have made out of this modern habbit of "cooling down living flesh"...

The Hotel is located in a very old building and each suite is unique. Please take time for checking as it last about 45 minutes. You will get at first a glass of Sekt and a cold Watermelon jus with Mints foam. Then you will get an explanation of the history of the building as well as Heidelberg. The stay...

Quite simply brilliant, but perhaps I should get out more. 4 poster bed with decor to match. We only had time to stay 2 nights as part of a 10 day road trip taking in Germany, Austria, Italy & Switzerland. My lasting memory is the 7 course breakfast that commenced with the waitress "introducing" us to what had been freshly...

Dear nevleary, Yes, a 7 course breakfast - that's the way to start the day at ease. You have been really busy with a 10 day programme - so that was a real treat. Thank you for your visit and next time check out our best room rates and arrangements on our own official Hirschgasse homepage - only here are...

We stayed at the Hotel die Hirschgasse for two nights and it was one of the most enjoyable places we have been to. We booked a suite and were definitely not disappointed. We had a sitting room, bedroom and bath--all large and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and parking is right at the hotel. It is...

Dear Voyaguer5510, Thank you for your very nice comment and top rating. We do not know which of our restaurants you visited, since we have two: the Le Gourmet - and the Mensurstube. Service is normally always on top of their toes, but depending on certain circumstances also a good team can be influenced. We regret nevertheless that you apparently...

Hotel managed by the owners who were ready to talk about the area and give advice and explain the historical significance of the building. Easy walking distance from the Old Town and the Old Town train station and just a short step away from the famous Philosopher's Way. Lovely breakfast in rooms full of the student duelling history of Heidelberg.

Dear Chris and Joan, We always thrilled, if our guests manage to arrive by train at our "own" train station Karlstorbahnhof "Altstadt" which unveils to the arriving visitor the William Turner perspective of the castle. Such an impressive view, so dramatic and a wonderful way to reach us on the foot path across the river Neckar. Glad that you liked...

This hotel is known for its history and its delicious food. You do need to make a reservation early though, as it does book up. The parking here is a bit of a mess and I am still not sure how they accommodate more than 5-6 cars? The hotel and service was fantastic and I would recommend the hotel for...

Dear RWSII, Thank you for your positive comment and your stay with us. We are glad that you appreciate and recognize the big historic value of our property. We chose this hotel because much as we were looking forward to Heidelburg the more central locations looked like they had the potential to be quite noisy, even so we wanted to experience something of the town's traditional student hostelries and so Hotel Die Hirschgasse was perfect. We were working up at the castle and the walk down into town...

Dear Poly-Olbion, What a poetical name - we like it very much and thank you for staying with us. You described a very good profile of the Hirschgasse, especially the advantage of not having to "enjoy" the noisiness of the city, which can be quite disturbing sometimes, but rather stay in our little quiet side valley so close to the...

I love Heidelberg. Finding Hirschgasse was an accident. A friend suggested we should check it out. Dear MoscowLinda, A big thank you that you rated us so positive.
