Hotel and hospitality were absolutely great and I really felt not only comfortable but also like at home. One of the best hotel which I ever have visited. Relaxing, with touch of history, amazing room and interior with beautiful lobby. This hotel has more than others and this is

I booked a stay at the Hotel Zum Türken at short notice before I travelled to Berchtesgaden in September 2018.
Frau Scharfenberg owns and runs the hotel and does a fantastic job, she is very friendly and goes out of her way to make you welcome. I was a few hours late because of

We have stayed at Hotel zum Tuerken on numerous occasions since the 1990s and were very pleased to be the first guests to stay at the hotel following a period of closure for building work in the hotel and bunker.
Our stay was for two nights at the end of July. Frau Scharfenberg B

This is really a rather unique place to visit and stay, especially if you are a WW II History buff.

The hotel itself is quaint and clean and a bit on the expensive side, but worth the investment and even more so if you love views of the Bavarian Alps! It's no mystery why Hitler

We have been twice before and frankly, there is not much left to say! It is our home, away from home in Bavaria! We introduced two of our closest friends to the Turken on this trip and they came away with the exact same feeling. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the owner wi

What is the maximum number of guests allowed in a double room? I see an extra bed is available for 40€. We would be traveling with our 2 children & would require room for 4. Or would we have to book 2 separate double rooms? Thanks
Scott S is right ,just email the Turken she is a great host!

I am visiting Germany for the first time at the beginning of October 2017 (dates are not set yet). I would like to stay at Hotel zum Turken for a couple of nights. I am wondering how soon I would need to book a room for two people.. Thank you for any help you are able to give me. Amy
The lady doesn't take bookings till March. I would contact the hotel as soon as. It's quite popular with coach trips and because of its history, gets booked by returning guests. Don't be afraid to book rooms with shared toilets or showers as the place is spotless. But that is only a suggestion. We stayed there last August and I'd love to go back. Take heed the bunker is shut on Tuesday. If you have anymore questions I'd be happy to answer them the best I can

The reviews sound fabulous! Is this accessible without a car? We'll be arriving in town on the train from Munich, staying one night, and then heading by bus to Salzburg. Any tips regarding public transportation to the hotel?
First of all you have to get from Salzburg to Berchtesgaden. There is public transport but that is to Berchtesgaden and then you have to get up to Obersalzburg. Best beat is to email the tourism people in Salzburg as a lot of data online is out of date. Website: w w w Salzburg / info / en
