Andreas the hotel manager greeted us warmly and was eager to get us into the best suited room. I was traveling with my 20 yr old daughter and we wanted a tub and he found us the perfect room. Comfy beds, even brought us extra pillows. Beautiful breakfast spread and delicious food in the restaurant.

Hey there Lea, thanks for the nice review -> now I am famous on the Internet ;-) Good thing you told me about the tub -> we do offer both, so it was no big deal changing your reservation on the spot. My pleasure :-) All the best to you both and see you again soon! Andreas

I had booked a room at the Hotel Rheinischer Hof for Easter Weekend for my wife and myself. I booked online well in advance (January 8th) for the Jumbo Double Room in Haus Windrose. The room was perfect in every way! Huge with two balconies (1 small and 1 large) The large balcony faced the mountains and from the 3rd...

I stayed in Garmisch for a getaway at the end of a business trip. The room was very clean and I had a view of the beautiful mountains. The staff here accommodated me even though I arrived several hours before check in and the restaurant was supurb! It is traditional German food- the schnitzel is a must. The location of...

Came up for a few days for Spring Break. We stayed in the Maxi Suite. It was very clean and well appointed in authentic German Bavarian decor. The staff were very courteous and friendly and spoke very good English. The meals at the hotel restaurant were very tasty. We had the pork schnitzel, the venison steak and the venison goulash....

Hey there, thanks for the great review :-) All our rooms do have a minibar, but you are right, it is not big enough to really store a lot of stuff. You can cool down your drinks and some travel provisions, but not much more. They are average size when it comes to minibars, but compared to a real fridge,...

Nice friendly and helpful staff. John (our Head Waiter for the evening), shared some great local advice and helped out their extensive wine list. Lovely traditional German meals at excellent value. Convenient to public transportation and town centre.

I made reservations through Trip Advisor, the reservation was missing when I arrived. The staff was extremely friendly and got me a room anyway. Fantastic place for a quick stay in Garmisch. Pillow was not comfortable and breakfast buffet just a little better than average. Overall, good experience. A little pricey

Hey there, and thanks for the generous 5 points, appreciate it :-) As for the pillows: we do offer a great variety of pillows: down and feather pillows, spelt pillows, anti-allergic pillows, millet pillows, swiss stone pine pillows, neck support pillows etc. etc.; there is a full list on the tablet that is in the room. Or just contact front...

This place is a hidden gem in a fairytale town. The town itself is amazing, the hotel is wonderful from the staff willing to help in any way, including helpful tips about the area. The breakfast each morning was incredible. We stayed in one of their apartments across the street, it was very comfortable and the view of the Alps...

Rooms and bathrooms were spotless. German style meals were prepared with fresh ingredients by a resident chef. Outstanding and helpful staff. Exceptional German meals with fresh ingredients. Convenient to public transportation and town center. Newly remodeled 4th generation family hotel. Flawless service. We had a perfect 10 day stay.

Stayed here for one night with friends in two twin rooms. The lady on reception was really helpful about skiing and where to go. Next morning on check out they split the bill and added ski passes, even offering us to go back and shower after skiing. The hotel itself is great, not luxurious but warm, clean and comfy. Nice...

Dear Bluerange35, thanks for the review, you hit the nail on the head. We are a family run hotel, so we are definitely going for that "warm, clean and comfy" feeling :-) The offer to go shower and change after skiing / before you head back home always stands; should make the car ride much less of an inconvenience ;-)...

Hotel Rheinischer Hof is a very good choice when visiting Garmisch-Partenkirchen. My wife and I stayed there during a five day visit, and we were stunned by the warm hospitality, great food and very nice rooms. The staff is helpful, warm and will assist you in every way. Located at Zugspitzstrasse, the hotel is only a ten minute walk outside...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our goal is to meet all your wishes! What are you looking for when you go on holidays? You might wish somewhat more than the ordinary standard? Hence, it is not only about bed, breakfast and mountain view. What we mean is our characteristic pleasant and casual ambience, which surrounds the guests, wherever they are in the house, whatever they do. We mean the mountains just in front of the door. Well, we mean the typical feeling in "Garmisch": the discovery of the unspoilt nature during a walk through the gorge "Partnachklamm", the little thrills during a hang-gliding tandem flight or the "adrenalin rush" during an adventurous rafting tour through the gorge of "Imst". Our declared goal is to be an ideal base for all your personal holiday activities. ... more   less
