Great Hotel in Eltersdorf, Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Good breakfast and a lovely pool in the back garden area. Great location situated between Nuremburg, Bamberg and Erlangen making it a ideal base forcexploring all three with nearby train and bus services. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

This is a lovely family run hotel that actually made us feel like part of the family from the moment that we arrived. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The room was well appointed with nice little touches. The breakfast was really nice, with loads of freshly prepared delicious food and set us up for the day. Although we were there for leisure, I can fully see how this hotel appeals to business travellers. It is well located just a short walking distance from the S-Bahn station, with trains to Erlangen, Bamberg and Nuremberg. There’s also a frequent bus to Erlangen about a minute from the hotel.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. It truly made our holiday.

This friendly and welcoming hotel is run brilliantly but a lovely family. The room was great and the breakfast each morning was a real treat. Nothing was too much trouble and I was well looked after throughout my stay. The outside pool area with well kept rose bushes was an ideal place to relax and both the local bus and train services are very close by making travelling very easy. I will be back soon!

Everything you want from a hotel. Clean, confortable, welcoming and serves a lovely breakfast. Ideally placed between Erlangen and Nuremburg with good rail and road connections. A must for anyone wanting a nice stay.

Rooms are small and dated but well maintained and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Ample parking space is available right in front of the hotel. The best part about this hotel is the breakfast buffet which is well supplied with all the German goodies.

The location is really boring, but I suppose that most people staying there are on a business trip. Anyway, the hotel is really very clean and in very good condition. The most remarkable thing about that hotel is the service. Whenever you would like to have a little extra, the hotel owners do their best to fulfill your wishes. So if you would e.g. tell them what you prefer for breakfast, and it is not available, you can be sure it will be there the next morning. Really outstanding. The same applies to the genuine friendliness of the hotel owners. Conclusion: if you stay in that area, I strongly recommend that hotel.

I stayed at the hotel from a Saturday through to the following Sunday. It has a really great and easy access to all transport to the larger towns of Erlangen and Nurnberg. Also 20 mins away from Nurnberg Airport by taxi. The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful in all ways possible. The breakfast was great and freshly made. Would stay there all the times I go to Erlangen. Some pictures of the areas around or near the hotel.

Located nearby Erlangen with excellent car and bus connections to the city the Rotes Ross of Eltersdorf is an excellent option for those who want to sleep well, have an excellent breakfast (including house baked special bread), and all this for an affordable rate. The nearby third party restaurant is a very good option to stay nearby the hotel. The hotel has it own parking lot, provides good free WiFi connection and the personnel is friendly. I recommend this nice little hotel either for professional stay or on holidays in the beautiful area Erlangen, Nürnberg, Herzogenaurach, etc. when you are travelling with your car. The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool and place for relaxation besides the pool.
