just a good hotel in the centre of Erlangen. It's near the station (but you won't be too much disturbed from trains) and easy reachable. Rooms are adeguate and clean, beds comfortable and breakfast has a generous buffet. With an extra price it's also an indoor car park available. When I stay in Erlangen and I have guests I always suggest this hotel: I find it pretty good for a 3 stars hotel.

Hot room if the window was shut and noisy if it was open, a bit of a no win situation

comfortable bed, good wifi, location was excellent, breakfast one day was outstanding and the next a bit ordinary; very good location for train travellers

We noticed that Erlangen hotels were quite expensive due to many business people visiting. So we chose this 2 star hotel for price (still more expensive than what we paid for in Hamburg).

We stayed here recently for 3 nights. With the exception of weak coffee the breakfast is certainly one of the best we've come across for a 2/3 star hotel. The main dishes changed each day (Tuesday morning - 3 types of smoked fish, and cooked shrimps Wednesday was little meat burgers with mozzarella cheese/tomato/basil and Thursday was Wiener Bratwurst with mozzarella cheese/tomato/basil ). However, you need to get down early as the plates do not get replenished. Rest of breakfast was a large selection of bread rolls, sliced bread, and crackers, cheese, meat, cereal, fresh fruit, jams, yoghurt, eggs and there was a bowl of mini chocolate snack bars!

Our room was on the 1st floor and although the hotel was near the train station it was a quiet room overlooking an inner court. Bedroom was furnished with IKEA furniture, mattress was soft and the pillows were huge which resulted in neck ache for me. Bathroom had no window and looked tired & dated with tiny signs of mould coming through. Despite its look the shower was a good one.

Good WiFi connection - we needed it as all TV channels were in German.

We found the hotel owner was helpful for most of the time albeit she was stern/brusque. She suggested we visit Bamberg which we did and we really enjoyed the trip. I would have scored the service higher if she was not so dismissive on our last day. We had checked out early to do some sight seeing and when we went to collect our bags at 2.00pm I was hoping to use their wash room but the hotel inner door was locked, and after pressing the hotel buzzer to ask to use the toilet she said she was not at the hotel and told me to use the bakery's or station's toilet. Really felt fobbed off. Of course, if we were arriving guests she would have come over from her adjacent flat to let us in. So nil point for her "can't be bothered" behaviour. Because of this we would not come back to this hotel.

The hotel is located in the city center, next to the main train station in Erlangen. Small room, but enough for the basic needs. The hotel and room were clean. Breakfast was good as well. For short durations I recommend staying in this hotel. For those who arrive after 10 p.m., it is necessary to learn how to get the key of the room, because after 10.00 p.m. there no one in the reception and the main door is locked.

Highs and lows with this one - we arrived and the child bed was already there, which was a huge plus not having to go asking or hunting for it. On the other hand breakfast was less than stellar and I did in fact get a sausage with some mold on it the first morning. Mmmmmmm good. The lady running the place is also not particularly friendly - kind of got the feeling she could care less if we stayed there or didn't. Also the family bed was actually two singles on wheels just placed next to each other. As our child eventually ends up sleeping in bed with us it was kind of terrible as he could have just wiggled himself into the middle which would have been terribly unsafe. In the end we just wedged the arm chairs in on either side of the bed so they wouldn't roll apart. not pretty but functional. Not sure I'd stay here again.....

Room Tip: Try to book a room facing the courtyard to avoid the noise of the station outside.

We stayed here for one night on our way to winter holidays and just slept in the hotel and had breakfast. Not far from the highway, the hotel is situated in a traffic restricted area (max 20 km/h) with one way streets close to the station and right in the center: you need a good GPS. No parking is available near the hotel and we parked in the neighbourhood but apparently in a resident area and got a 10 EUR fine; be careful where you park. The hotel reception is in the breakfast area/open kitchen, functional but not very cosy. Breakfast is very good for the price charged. We got a room on the top floor, mind there is no elevator, so you need to drag your luggage upstairs (a lot of stairs). The room was clean, very good shower, good beds, everything there. The trains are close by but we didn’t hear a thing and had a peaceful quite night. Reception was correct but could be a bit more friendly; didn’t leave a warm feeling.

Nice small hotel directly at the train station.
Due to the central location it is hard to find a parking lot outside and the underground parking is very small and hard for big cars. even small ones might have issue with unexperienced drivers...
rooms are a little small and lights are partially not working. instead of power plugs at the bed, you only have wholes in the wall.

breakfast was very good. number of choices not very big but good quality and sufficient choice. staff was very friendly and prices were good.

Excellent location Just outside the Erlangen railway staion, ( this could be disadvantage for few, you can hear train announcements, train movements very clearly in rooms) all shopping area is on walking distance. Cleanness good, breakfast spread is limited items but sufficient. value for money. staff is helpful and friendly. Overall good option for short stay in Erlangen

Great hotel, very close to the city center, bus and train stations. Cozy rooms, internet access, modern bathrooms and the breakfast is included, however there is no elevator to access the rooms that are upstairs, nor air conditioner (might be important during the summer).
But all in all I highly recommend this hotel, considering its installations, location, service and cost!

Room Tip: During the summer it is better to avoid the rooms located upstairs (top floor), because of the heat.
