Stayed here for 1 night in December to visit castles. The Hotel prearranged our tour tickets and when we were running a bit late they were so concerned that they even phoned our home in the USA to make sure we were ok. That is really beyond the call of duty. Our room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable and...

I can't rave enough about this hotel. Everything about it was the best I've had in Germany. What really topped it off was the service. The people who run this establishment have much to be proud of. The meals here were excellent, especially the breakfast that was included in the room rate. Excellent location for a lovely walk to both...

My husband and I stayed in September 2010 for two nights. The area is beautiful and the hotel is located close to both castles. Dinner was wonderful and well as the breakfast that was included in our stay. One of the nicest and friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in.

Did the "Days of Roses" two nights special - worth it! The bouquet of roses was lovely (wish I could have taken it with me). The champagne was tasty and the 4 course meal was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel - the staff is VERY helpful (they booked our castle tours and provided recommendations of optimal viewing times - advice...

First of al, the hotel is marked with just 3*. In fact, all the services and price are 4*+ at least, just I guess there is no swimming pool - if you don't take into account a lake nearby. Fantastic view at castles from room, wonderful restaurant. The hotel staff can easily arrange tickets to the castles for any convenient...

Very friendly and helpfull staff. Hotel is very close to the castles and for access to hiking, cycling routes and other points of interest like Oberammergau. Rooms are very clean. Meals are very good and well presented.

Sorry to read previous review. We met no-one like that. We had great service from the moment of booking (by ph from Australia) till checkout. Upon arrival we were delighted to be given an upgrade to a roomy suite - large living room, large bedroom, separate dressing area with solid oak wardrobe, large bathroom, separate toilet room and great views...

We stayed here in may with our 2 teenage daughters and from the start the man working in reception was a disgrace, he was so unwelcoming and rude and that asking to check in was and inconvenience for him, I assume this was the hotel manager or owner, anytime we asked for anything he would have a horrible smirk on...

This is a beautiful hotel located in the busy town of Hohenschwangau. It was very busy while we traveled in Germany with tons of tourists in the area. We stayed in a nice triple room that had a beautiful terrace that we were nor able to enjoy too much because the weather was very rainy when we traveled in August....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Muller lies at the end of the “Romantic Road” through Germany, right beneath Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood and youth residence of King Ludwig II, his “poetic retreat”. It makes the ideal base for day trips to the surrounding area. One possible excursion is the “Castle Tour”: Linderhof – Herrenchiemsee – Nymphenburg. Or you could get to know the Pfaffenwinkel, which literally means “priests’ corner”, with its ancient testimonies to church architecture, such as St. Coloman, the Pilgrimage Church of Wies, Ettal Abbey, the pilgrimage churches of Andechs, Rottenbuch, and Altenstadt, and many more. Or visit the idyllic nearby villages: Fussen, with its historical old town; Oberammergau, famous for its passion play, or the world-famous winter sports villages of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Oberstdorf, etc. ... more   less
