We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Hotel Siegestor. Monika was the perfect hostess, and nothing was too much trouble for her. We had a nice room with bath and a great breakfast everyday. The location was perfect, close to the metro and close to the center of Munich. The English Garden was only a short walk away. There... More

Located in university district, near the Ubahn, behind big wooden doors and up a classic (somewhat antiquated) elevator. The room we had was immaculate, with a comfortable bed and was self contained. The bathroom is small, but otherwise the space was quite roomy. Minimal noise from the street and close to streets with lots of reasonably priced bars, restaurants and... More

Clean rooms, outstanding and filling breakfast included, exceptional location in university neighborhood, close to U-bahn, Englischer garden, and walking distance to everything. The best part was the host--Monika is very warm, welcoming and friendly and makes you feel at home right away. She is the perfect host and guide for your stay in Munich! We were very lucky to be... I received a warm welcome from Monika on my arrival and during my stay nothing was too much trouble for her. My room was very spacious for a single person, clean and, in spite of the fact that it overlooked Academiestrasse, very quiet. The breakfast, included in the price of the room, was very good. The toilets/showers were a short... More

My friends and I booked two rooms here for a 4 night stay in Munich - this turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip! The rooms were spacious, light, and included a basin area. The bathrooms are shared but due to the small size of this pension you rarely have to wait, and they were... More

When I first reached this hotel I wasn't sure if I was at the right place: there's an enormous wooden door big enough for a horse and carriage to drive through .. which is exactly why it was built that way. Reception is several floors up in a fantastically ancient elevator then when you make it to reception the staff... More

First off, the staff (especially Monika) is extremely friendly and helpful. Always asking if you need anything or how she can make things better. The couple who run this (her husband Karl is great, but knows little English...he's helpful and great though) made the stay so great. Location is less than 5 min walk from metro Akademiestrasse. So easy to... More

We had a lovely stay here. The location is fabulous - right at the edge of the Englischer Garten and a short walk from the underground. If you are interested in WWII / Holocaust history, make sure to take note of the White Rose memorials in the area. The hotel also proved to be family friendly. Monica provided a cot... More

The lovely Monica was the best hostess we had in all of Europe! Friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble and made us feel right at home in Munich. Rooms very small but clean and comfortable and provided the BEST breakfasts in a delightful breakfast room. Beautiful old buidling and loved the lift (though my daughter was too... More

Very good for it's price. It's an old but comfortable place (it was -12º outside but it was warm and cozy in the hotel), the breakfast was great and the hostess was very nice, always offering this and that (maybe a little fixation on boiled eggs! :-) ). The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and was included in the price, which is... More
