As an avid international traveler my experience was that of walking into a Tokyo hotel room. We walked in and saw the room and left if that tells you how it went. These are tiny rooms. The hotel is on a back street in a residential area. The staff was very apologetic when we told them we were leaving (it’s not their fault). We had been on a 18 day vacation at 4-5 star hotels and this was more of a hostel than a 3+ star hotel.

Really felt cramped, dated and lower class. We just stayed here (2 rooms for 2 nights). On the plus side, we liked the location in a residential area very close to Schloss Nymphemburg. We walked to the Schloss within like 10 minutes, and the Schloss gardens go on forever, There is a tram car line going straight to the center only about 10-15min away (we tried the S-Bahn once, about the same distance away, and it was a pain between massive delays, a busy and small area and nothing to see along the way). The hotel staff was quite nice and helpful, from finding a hair salon to loaning my elderly family member a fan from their office. The hotel building looks nice from the outside and each floor has high ceilings. And it was very quiet (no noise to worry about at night, but our rooms faced the small courtyard). On the minus side, the rooms were small / cramped with dated and simple furnishings that reminded me of a college dormitory. One room had a bathroom about the size you would expect on a cruise ship. The sink only had cold water and but the shower had ample hot water. It was really hot (90sF) and there was absolutely no AC in the hotel anywhere. We had a single modern window in our room for ventilation. We even had a taxi once where the taxi AC had died during the day. The breakfast was reasonably priced but the weakest (lowest quality, weakest range) of any hotel in Germany we stayed in over a 2 week stay across the country. I could not even located a single tea bag similar to English breakfast. The hotel also had no elevator, and all guests are expected to drag their luggage up and down the stairwell. FYI - it was about a 25 (Uber) - 35 (taxi) EUR ride to the Altstadt.

We loved this welcoming, comfortable hotel. It’s in a lovely neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Nymphenburg Palace. There’s also another local park nearby with a nice Biergarten and highly-rated Indian and Italian restaurants just a two-minute walk away. The staff is wonderful. Tobias was especially friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy and very clean. Breakfast was very good with made-to-order coffee drinks. We were sad to leave!

Customer service was excellent! Room reserved was not room available at time of booking as room was much smaller and bed was much smaller than advertised! We did not check in as room was not as advertised! Hotel check in crew could not cancel reservation but said they would convey our objections to management the next day and request refund and this was done immediately and appropriately! Location is good and rooms are good if as advertised! No elevator for older patrons! Great supply of tourist information available!

To make proper criticism of the hotel you have to keep in mind that it is an old building, with its limitations (for example, it has no elevator) For the rest, it is a very comfortable hotel, not only because of the facilities (with the limitations mentioned) but by the service, always very aware of satisfying your needs. Breakfast was not included, but it can be hired separately for a very competitive price comparing with what a breakfast can cost on the street in Munich and in addition it was enough good quality. The location has its pros and cons. It is a bit far from the center, but well communicated. It is in a residential neighborhood of single -family homes. This allows, despite the fact that the hotel does not have too many parking spaces, that you can park without a problem in the street. On the other hand it is located right next to one of Munich's most impressive palaces (Nympphanburg's palace)

Second stay at this property. Unfortunately it has new management and does not continue the "Munchen" feel of the past. Little changes to the rooms which are smallish and a little outdated. Still great location by Nyphenburg Schloss.

Not up to modern hotel standards. Worn and tired, chipping paint and dinged furniture, small rooms and extremely small bathrooms. No elevator. No coffee maker / kettle in the room. Do not be fooled by the beautiful pictures — the place is run down and not worth the high marks it gets on TripAdvisor.

Room Tip: No elevator, 10 to 15 min walk to train/tram, close to Nymphenburg, but inconvenient to city center.

Basic room with cheap furnishings. Tiny bathroom. Inconvenient location to all but 1 major site. Unable to change itinerary due to overly strict cancellation policy. Did not try breakfast but looked very basic. Would be ok if this was a "budget hotel," but actually was not a low price.

Do not be fooled, this is not a ho(s)tel, this is a shelter for homeless people at best and you will be treated like one. They gave us, a married couple with the same last name, a room with 2 separate beds. When I complained the staff guy sayed "of course you can have a big bed, except that someone will spit on it". The rooms smell like wer rat. Do not make a mistake comming here. Total disapoimtment.

This hotel was mediocre, which was surprising given the high reviews. Starting with the advantages, the hotel is in a nice older building, very close to Nymphberg Palace, in a quiet neighbourhood. Unfortunately they are missing a lot of really important basics such as a safe in the room, a full length mirror, in-room coffee/tea (which I’ve had in every other European hotel I’ve been to), and air conditioning (which isn’t overly surprising for Europe and the age of the building but still worth noting for people who need it to sleep). The room itself is okay. Bathroom is dated but functional, with a very small shower. It is mostly clean. Also note that they don’t have complimentary toiletries just a single soap dispenser with a 5 in one product. Also worth noting that although they advertise free parking there are only 4 spots. You will likely need to park on the street.
