Everything was just fantastic. Big mall next to the hotel, a lake to swim some hundreds of meters away. Subway station just next to the hotel. The rooms are big and it was very good to sleep there. We did internet check-in so check-in went really very good, we just got the envelope with key and everything into our hands. The hotel bar is outstanding, and in the mall or next to it are also other fantastic places to eat or drink. Nothing really to complain. Only thing to think about is that the distance to the airport with public transport is quite far.

I've been in Novotel Munich Messe many times through the last few years , most probably for business trip with a customers , I can confirm that a big positive changes had been happened in treatment with the customers , now the hotel is very very good choice not only for business but also for leisure , the surrounding shopping area, the easy access to underground ( only few steps) and the most important thing is the excellent and professional treatment from all the staff , specially front desk - Alina,Maria,Pia and all their colleagues- very well done Novotel

Spent 4 nights here for an exhibition and found the hotel to be just what was needed. Close to the messe and a shopping mall, on the U-bahn to get into the city in 25 minutes with no hassle. Inside it is modern and rooms tidy (with contactless chargers and USB C sockets). The restaurant was what you'd expect but the service from Bar staff and front desk were very good indeed...always caring and going beyond the normal, for example, asking for and acting on suggestions. Would happily stay here again.

We stayed here for several nights. We chose this hotel because we were visiting people who live nearby. I would call this a business hotel (it's not something I would choose for a vacation). There is no real charm or luxury to it (no spa, room service, etc.); however, it's reasonably priced, clean, quiet, the bed was comfortable and you have a mall and food court next door. You can get to the hotel directly from the onsite/mall parking garage too (although it's not particularly well marked; we had to drive around the parking garage for awhile before we found it). Parking is not included and costs approx 25 euros a day. The hotel is dog friendly and there is an expansive park just past the mall (a 5 minute walk away), which was nice. The one meal we had at the restaurant was good. The breakfast each morning was only okay. The woman who checked people in for breakfast was very kind and accommodating.

This was my third stay at this hotel, like the previous ones for a trade show at the Exhibition Centre across the road. Check in was very quick and, to my surprise, my room was ready when I arrived at 11am. The room itself was adequately sized, bathroom a bit on the small side but okay. The bed was very comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. Now the not so good points: The water pressure and the water temperature were very volatile. Even if you didn't move the lever to adjust temperature, it would switch from pleasant to cold to hot. The water pressure was at times okay, but mostly there wasn't enough pressure. When I mentioned this at reception I was told that they were aware of this issue and that the "Shower filters" would need to be changed. Not sure how easy that is, but it should be priority. The air conditioning unit in my room was very noisy and didn't cool the room properly. This was promptly rectified by an engineer after I mentioned it at reception. The "smart" TV had no way of connecting ones phone or tablet to it in order to watch Netflix or similar, nor did it have an app making this possible. Not much of an issue for me, but my colleague would have loved to watch something in English that wasn't a news channel. On the previous two stays there was really lovely staff at the restaurant, they seem to have left. The new staff members were perfectly nice, but some cannot speak German. It was the first time that, as a German speaker, I had to order in English in a restaurant in Germany. Breakfast was okay, but not more than that. The rolls were clearly made by an industrial bakery, frozen and then "baked" at the hotel. The breakfast room was very busy and I would suggest to go there early. This was better on the last show day. Location wise the hotel is ideal for Messe München and why we chose it for the third time, but based on this year's experience, we might explore other options nearby for the next show.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for the detailed feedback after your stay in our house. We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. We also regret that there were problems with the shower during your stay. Rest assured that it was not in our best interest to upset you, our valued guest. We have a water quality filter in our showers. Since the water is very calcareous, it fills up very quickly. Unfortunately, this has an influence on the temperature and the pressure. But this is quickly remedied by the friendly staff. We would be happy if we could welcome you again despite everything. Warm regards from Munich Maria Pfaff Guest Relation

The most depleasant thing about the hotel is to check-in in a dirty room. When finally getting another (downgraded) room, the internet connection failed during the whole stay, some water leaked from the bathroom tap, and not even a bottle of water was offered. This very unique combination of small negative ruined the whole experience of visiting Munich after so many years

We spent a weekend there in June 2023, Friday through Sunday. Location: right next to a shopping mall (Riem Arcaden) with supermarkets and food places among many others. Parking: shared parking with shopping mall, designated elevator to the hotel lobby. Parking fee 20 to 25 euros per night. Overall impression: clean, light, modern. Check in and check out: fast and polite. Room: average size, very clean, small bathroom. We paid 75 euros per night per room (two people) and for this rate everything was as good as or even better than expected. One issue: no door bolt / security latch! In total we give four and a half stars for the hotel. We would have given five stars if there had been a door bolt and some smiles from the front desk staff as we walked by. Restaurant: Evening service one star / breakfast service four stars. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant. My son ordered a Schnitzel which was half the size it used to be before covid (we used to stay at this hotel 3 times a year up until 2020). He was still hungry afterwards. The Schnitzel cost 28 euros. I am coeliac and often encounter problems finding food in German restaurants. I spoke to a very friendly waiter about it who was trying to be helpful but failed miserably (not his fault). He had no idea what gluten-free meant and he wasn't fluent in German nor English. He went to the kitchen and came back with some information. Not good enough. Went back to the kitchen and came back with some more information. Still not entirely helpful. There was a side order of vegetables on the menue with a dish. I asked if I could just get a side order of plain vegetables. No, I couldn't. It was not a matter of pricing, the waiter just didn't understand what I wanted from him and kept running back to the kitchen to ask but there didn't seem anybody available to deal with my request. I decided not to eat and ordered just a small non-alcoholic wine. Got a large one instead (was only charged for a small one but they couldn't get this right either). To summarize: my son and I were the only people in the restaurant. One might wonder why. We tried to order four items in total: Schnitzel, coke, side order of veggies, non-alcoholic wine. They failed on two out of four. The restaurant really deserves zero stars from us, however, we feel one star should go to the waiter who really tried hard and remained friendly throughout! Breakfast service started out just as bad. Upon check in I had asked if they offered gluten-free options and I was told it would not be a problem. First, however, it was. The first check in lady (younger) I spoke to was in training but didn't get help from somebody experienced. She just pointed me to the two gluten-free items offered in the buffet area but couldn't not answer my questions as to whether any bread could be warmed up for me in the kitchen. She walked away with a helpless shrug. Soon, however, a more experienced lady appeared (older than the trainee, short dark hair, glasses) and she was outstanding! She took care of my orders on both Saturday and Sunday, she was knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination, provided me with warm (sealed) bread options and was very friendly and professional in total. She alone is responsible for us giving the breakfast service four stars! Will we stay there again? Yes, we will. The overall experience was fine and if the restaurant doesn't appear to have improved considerably we will simply eat at one of the mall options.

I’ve spent many nights in Novotel hotels and this disappoints me in some aspects that I think should be fixed in a hotel of this category: -the shower has no pressure and the water takes time to heat or cool. -the room has no drawer for underwear, hoodies or t-shirts, only a bar for hanging clothes in the closet which has no shelves but one on top for the luggage. -no amenities but soap. -the air conditioning vent is noisy. On the other side the staff is super friendly, breakfast is superb, good fitness center, great location and overall design.
