I have only great things to say about this hostel! First, the location: 3 minutes away from the main train station (by walk) and 10 minutes from the city center. The neighbourhood is a little sketchy, but being close to the train station was a big plus for us backpackers. There are many hostels on that street as well, so... More

so close and so easy to get to from central station! Has a free walking tour that leaves from there Everyday Which is handy. Plenty of places to eat around it and close to a supermarket. The river (English garden) is about a 20/25 minute walk but is easy and not a boring walk. The bathrooms are excellent! So modern... More

This hostel ruined Munich for me. We made the mistake of staying in one of their 40 bed dorms. 40 beds is way too many to get any sleep. The wifi only works in the lobby. There are no chargers near your bed, which doesn't seem like too big of a problem unitl you consider the fact that a computer... More

Right near the station and well staffed with decent bar area. We got a 4 person family room with en suite on the 5th floor and it was fine. It also had air con and the shower was almost a power shower. We paid 124E for the night. All good if you want a taste of the backpacking scene without... More

We were surprised how close the hostel is to the main train station in Munich. Very centrally located, the Marienplatz and the shopping district is 10 minutes walk away. The hostel is very clean, with friendly staff. Remember to bring a big padlock (not a small combination one) for the lockers in your room and the ones in the garden.... More

Before we got into the hostel we knew it was a great location, just a minutes walk from the main station and a metro and also 10mins walk from Augustiner beer garden. But when we came in we knew it would be bearable but nothing amazing. The staff were welcoming enough and the room was fine and we did get... More

Charged for every little thing e.g padlocks WIFI did not work (for me) Dust all over the rooms. Toilet was disgusting, it flooded with puke and wasn't cleaned. It is supposed to be quite after 11pm and it did not happen. Worst hostel experience to date... At least it was not expensive.

Lots of young people stay at this hostel. There were a lot of students with teachers so it made breakfast extremely crowded & it was hard for the staff to keep things stocked. The neighborhood has strip clubs so it was uncomfortable walking to the hostel at night. It was within walking distance to many sites in Munich. The room... More

As with many hostels, you have to expect some issues. That is not to say there there weren't positives. The staff was friendly and bar lively. We arrived early and were allowed to store our bags until room was ready. Long list of rules and possible fines for infractions was unnerving. Location near main station was great to catch different... More

Stayed in 2012 with one friend. Booked a private room and it seems this is the best way to go. Was the same as staying at a budget hotel, had everything we needed, tv, bed, clean bathroom. Breakfast was basic but enough to keep a budget friendly traveller happy. If you are staying in a hostel you should be well... More
