A very solid choice for a mid-range hotel just outside of the city center, it's well connected via the pubic transport system. It offers very good breakfast, the rooms are clean. Definitely recommend it.

My first time in a leonardo hotel and I enjoyed it. However, it was a trek to even find it! The google maps marker is in the wrong place and you have to go along these back-streets that look old and shady to get to the hotel. The tram stop is about 5 mins away. It is a fairly small hotel with a petrol station nearby with convenience store. Room was comfy and exceeded my expectations for the hotel. Let down by the bad location.

We booked a room at this hotel for one night only. The hotel is brand new, the design of both the lobby and the room was wonderful. The room had everything we needed and even more. But the service, unfortunately, spoiled everything.
I joined AdvantageCLUB when booking, but even that didn't help to avoid the unpleasant experience we had. After choosing the check-in date the service offered instant payment on the website, which came out even cheaper than at the reception desk directly at the hotel. I paid for my reservation, the money was deducted, the reservation number was received, and a few days later the money was deducted a second time. After calling the customer service, we were told that there were no reservations at the hotel in Nuremberg for such dates at all. But fortunately, after a long clarification, our room was found. The money, was said, would be returned, but it has been almost a month, and still no money. The customer service is constantly pushing back the date of reimbursement, and we are still waiting, because we have no choice.
We thought about coming back to you again, but because of this situation, all desire is off.

+1
This hotel is in an area that if full of boarded up buildings and vacant lots with squatters and rubbish. It looks and feels very unsafe. There are lots of random people sitting in cars at all hours of the night and arguments happening right outside the hotel. We stayed 2 nights and on both nights there were people screaming at each other right outside the hotel at 3-4am.
No air conditioning so we had to have windows open and the stench of cigarette smoke was constantly irritating as was the noise mentioned above. The hotel itself is basic at best. Very small room and two single beds wedged together. My husband fell through the gap between the beds. Towels were stained and there was lots of hair on tiles in the bathroom which was disgusting.
There was no fridge and no kettle but there was a coffee machine so presumably guests were supposed to use that for tea?? I don’t drink coffee so we didn’t try to work it out. We chose to eat out rather than have breakfast at the hotel as we were not confident of food quality. We would never stay there again. It was a horrible experience more akin to a backpackers hostel (and a rubbish one at that!).

Booked a 3 people room. I was surprised by the cleanliness, since the area was in the middle of a shady neighborhood. From our windows se could see an old parking lot currently working as a gated, homeless community. The coffee machine didnt work properly, but the fact that there was coffee was surprising. We had a good nights stay, in close vicinity to nuremberg centrum, and it was enjoyable overall. We paid 15 euro to park behind the hotel. It was worth it, considering the option to park a random place in the neighborhood

Yes, the neighborhood can feel a bit sketch, but it probably just feels that way as it isn't very developed nor touristy. However, it is a very short walk to the old city. And yes, the bathroom we had was tiny, but functional.
There is also parking. Pay up to park in the hotel space, or for free just across the street in an empty lot.
No complaints, good value.

Dear Will0001, thank you for staying with us in our Leonardo Hotel Nürnberg and for taking time to share your review on Tripadvisor. It is a pleasure to read that you had been satisfied with our location close to the city centre and to the old town of Nuremberg, with our friendly & professional staff, with the cleanliness of our house and with the value for money. It's a pity for us to read that the area around our hotel didn't quite appeal to you. In the past a couple of renovation works were carried out in our immediate vicinity. Regarding the environment, we would also like it if the new development of the neighboring properties would go ahead faster. Unfortunately, we have no influence on this. We hope to welcome you with us again and send you our best regards, Daniel Riederer Front Office Manager

Stayed here for four nights whilst on business. Hotel is close to public transport and close enough to walk into the centre. Service was good, breakfast was adequate. The room was a bit meh. The bathroom stunk, and there was no bath but otherwise it was everything I needed. It would be harsh to find any major fault l, but there was nothing that gave it that extra bit of wow. Thanks for having me.

Not in the room, but I asked at Reception and they had both an iron and ironing board sent to the room immediately.
Hi
there are bars and restaurants in the Altstadt Downtown area... which is approx 500metres from the Hotel.
We were there in mid winter. The heating was excellent.
Kind of depends what time you are arriving, taxi about twenty euros and pretty direct and quick. If sharing it is a viable option.
