Great for walkers

In several weeks of travel in Germany, our 5 nights in Agnes Hof stand out. Its wonderful location (in the Altstadt, on the hill, on a cobblestone street where you can hear the church bells and look out on old roofs) set the mood. The room was not large, but perfectly good enough, with a towel heating rack that also served well for drying hand washables. The staff was totally helpful and gracious. The breakfasts (great cold cuts, eggs, many breads, espresso, cereals...) were well worth the money. We could get a beer from the bar when we wanted. And, again, the location: mere steps away from several good dinner restaurants, from the Albrecht Durer house (hugely recommended) from the castle. and just down the hill, churches, and a great market. Totally perfect!

This hotel is the best option if you want to explore historic Nuremberg. The location is within the historic city walls, right below the castle. Within a few minutes walk you have all the dining, shopping and sightseeing options at your fingertips. There is a small parking garage, which is tight, but the hotel staff is most helpful in assisting you and operating the parking elevator system. Our room was on the top floor and had a lovely view of the castle. The room was spacious enough, bright and airy. Again, the staff was most helpful in making us feel comfortable by providing a fan and an ironing board upon request. Breakfast is served daily in the lobby area and was fantastic. There were several hot and cold options, the best bread and pretzels, and the breakfast attendants were extremely polite, offering coffee or cappuccino. They were always busy replenishing the buffet and making sure every guest was acknowledged. The front desk team was wonderful, all of our wishes and requests were catered to with a big smile. We truly felt at home during our 8 night stay and were sad to leave. Thank you, Team Agneshof!

Hotel is very well located in the old-town, a very pleasant area to walk around.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable - worked well for a short business stay.
The breakfast buffet is very good here, with lots of choice of hot and cold dishes too.
Value for money was also excellent, and will look forward to staying here again in future.

We recently had to postpone our stay due to rising coronavirus cases across Germany. We missed the cancellation cut off by 2 days and requested if the charge could be waived and that we would be back to stay another time. Whilst I totally understand the terms and conditions of the stay, the hotel was incredibly abrupt and rude dealing with our request. The response we got back was - word for word - "No, this is not possible". No explanation. No apology. I asked for more of an explanation but heard nothing back, then they charged my card immediately. I'm actually more angry about this response from the hotel, than I am about the charge being made. This is not an appropriate response to a customer and has resulted in a bad customer experience. We definitely will not be staying at this hotel when we come next year.

The hotel is in the center, more or less 200 m from the main square. The room is cleaned, the space in the toailette is quite limited. The team is the reception is well prepared to receive foreign people. Brekfast is also complete in sweet and salt. Difficult to achieve the hotel with car.

Hotel Agneshof is located in a quiet street but walking distance to most attractions in the city center, I actually walked from the main train station and it took me like 30’, so if you like walking, don’t even need to navigate the subway system. Friendly staff, good rooms, clean bathrooms, good breakfast buffet (fee) available. Would recommend and stay again.

Nice hotel in the middle of town so everything is within walking distance. Smart parking in the basement. The receptionist accompanied us when the car had to go onto a shelf that was lifted up so that a car could be kept underneath.

We went to Nuremberg for the Christmas Markets and stayed at the Agneshof because of its proximity to the them. It was a short walk in a very central location to other spots. Are room was comfortable, warm, and perfect for us. Breakfast was not included. It cost 10€ each for a European breakfast. Wonderful breads, cheeses,meats, sausages, eggs, cereals, yogurts, etc and of course coffee. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is right in the centre of historic Nuremberg. It is located close to the castle and several museums. It is about a four minute walk from the Christmas market. The room was clean and had everything you needed. We had a mixup with our reservation, but the problem was solved quickly and professionally by the people at the front desk. If I were to return to Nuremberg, I would definitely stay at this hotel.

Great location within the old town and really good breakfast buffet for a cost per person. The room was very clean, comes with a TV, and quiet at night. I don't like carpet in hotel rooms but that was the only negative about the room. Friendly staff.

Limited on-street parking is set to the centre of Nuremberg. The parking rate is rather high. Cheaper are the car parks in or close to the city center. The hotel underground parking offers a mechanical parking lift system with horizontal platforms for double parking with single units for two cars. The hotel underground parking is only suitable for cars which are up to 1.50 meter high and 5.00 meter long. Cars with higher size can use the Parkhaus Hauptmarkt public parking space [100 m away from the hotel, walking distance 3 minutes, parking fee 16.00 Euro ].
