+1
After a few years without visiting Nuremberg I stayed again at this hotel and I was able to check with satisfaction, that it maintains a high standard and remains a perfect choice to stay in the heart of Nuremberg city centre, in the old town, with many restaurants and shoppings nearby.
It is one of the best Holiday Inn hotels I have stayed at, the hotel is modern, clean, with a nice bar and restaurant, the rooms are modern, spacious with the standard you are supposed to find in a good 4 stars hotel, the room has a laptop size safe and a coffee maker, including all the items in the bathroom like shampoo, shower gel, etc.
The breakfast was very good with many options and the staff did everything in order to make you feel good and do not have to wait and take care of any special wish during the breakfast.
I had dinner once at the restaurant, and the services was nice, polite and fast, they have an offer of different types os dishes, for different tastes, like pasta, salads, steaks and hamburgers I had a chicken hamburger and it was really good.
The hotel has a underground parking for cars, and about 12 parking places in the surface as part of the hotel for minivans, the hotel staff at the reception was all the time nice and helpful.
Undoubtedly, I will come back to this hotel if visiting Nuremberg again !!

We love Nuremberg during Christmas and have stayed here before. This is the hotel i recommend to my friends in this fabulous city. It is within walking distance to the main town center, the great shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is very well appointed- very comfortable rooms with fully supplied bath, buffett breakfast with everything you could ask for, the bar offers nice light meals and awesome drink selection (very nice bar service too), and parking is available right next door in a clean underground garage.
Friendly desk staff and housekeeping keeps this place immaculate.

The Holiday Inn in Nurnberg City Centre provides an excellent base when visiting Nurnberg. It is a short walk to the old town sights, and to public transport. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, and the lounges and eating areas are of excellent quality.

Hotel is ok, but in need of a refresh, restaurant is.. well.. since you are downtown don’t eat here but go into the city center. The rooms are clean, very easy to hear your neighbour room activities so do remember to bring earplugs. Overall not the holiday inn standard i have gotten used to as a platinum member.

This was our third stay here during the Christmas Markets. We like the location just inside the old city walls and near the subway. Our rooms were on the top floor at the back of the building overlooking a light well. It was quiet, the room very warm even with the thermostat set at the lowest setting and the window open. The duvet was heavier than needed given the room’s warmth. The bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. The breakfast buffet (included with our rate) was excellent with a good variety of items to satisfy most any palate.

In a very central position and still easily accessible by car. The paid parking located under the hotel is very useful.
Nuremberg's pedestrian zone is just a short walk away.
The room, not very large, was well furnished and equipped with all accessories (coffee machine, fridge, wifi, hairdryer...) and equipped with a good comfortable bed; the tranquility of the area guaranteed a good quality of sleep.
The bathroom was equipped with all the accessories even if it lacked a comfortable shower cubicle: the shower was doable but in the tub.
Good and varied breakfast.
Good value for money.

We stayed for one weekend night in October and we were happy with the choice. The suite room was ultra spacious, with separate bedroom area and well equipped, with superb view over the roofs of an old city. The location was easy to reach, with several parking garages available nearby, in addition to the hotel's one. Plenty of restaurants in the area as well. The adjustment of red light area didn't trouble us at all, as we simply came and went from the other side, hence no issues. We took the breakfast downstairs and it was wonderful - great choice of food (especially for such a simple facility), and the service was welcoming, easy, with a smile and super positive.
The only downside to mention is the hotel garage - hard to pass through the gate with anything from medium to large car, very-very narrow entry with highly steep roll.. Once in the garage, it is good and plenty of space, but the entry is something I won't try again, even being an experienced driver.

I have to admit that a lot has changed since 2002. I knew the Holiday Inn Standard as a former contract partner for night auditors in Hannover-Lahe, so I was very surprised that it had received an upgrade.
We booked 2 double rooms as a family, the check-in was spot on, the staff were a fresh mix, excellent customer service and very courteous. It started with housekeeping and didn't stop at the bar. The breakfast was very good, intercontinental standard with a waiter for special requests directly at the buffet, which were happily fulfilled. (e.g. squid or omelette). The pillows ("on every bed) are a dream. One is soft, both together a little firmer. Check-out: there was a transmission error when booking via the online platform - the reception reacted perfectly to this - simply premium! Conclusion: We really enjoyed being here as guests, felt comfortable and really like guests.

Location: Conveniently located within the old town, within 5 minutes walk, you’re absorbing the rich history of Nuremberg. Of note, the hotel borders the red light district, only one minutes walk away. Not an issue, it something just to be aware of.
Check in: Booked two rooms and although we arrived at our confirmed check in time, one room wasn’t ready. Bit annoying.
Room: Tad outdated, no views to speak of. Complimentary water.
Bar: NitriBizz - Bar & Brasserie is a chill place at the hotel to relax and enjoy a few drinks and a bite to eat. But IMHO, I enjoyed dining within the Hauptmarkt area of the old town as the vibe and atmosphere intoxicating.

Your room will be held for you for your late arrival . Just email the hotel reception to update your arrival time . They have 24 hours reception if I remember correctly
As far as I understand, if you cancel your reservation before 18:00 local time on 23.03.2021 there will be no charge.
In case you cancel after 18:00 local time on 23.03.2021, there will be a deduction of the charged amount to you for expenses saved by the hotel (generally 10 % of the booking price and 20% for accommodation with breakfast).
Anyway, I recommend you to contact the hotel to have it clear, by the way I have been several times in this hotel and had the best experience !
There’s a train from the airport plenty of taxis as well. The hotel is about 10minutes walk from the city centre train station.
I recommend that you call them and ask. Some hotels offer this for free and some ask for 1/2 day fee. I personally did not ask the Holiday Inn in Nuerenberg but they are very friendly - so try.
I arrived at around 11:45 am (did not call upfront) and got my room without any problem.
Most likelyy my loyalty card from IHG helped also.
The bar will remain open. Normally, guests in hotels join locals in celebrations held in squares all over Germany. Private parties are organized in hotels too. Nuremberg offers plenty of squares where such NY celebrations are held. If you are with children stay aloof for locals fire petards from the street ground.
