We booked a junior suite for our family. Room was spacious with necessary beds for accommodating all the guests. It had a balcony, clean bathroom/toilet. Room was clean with great air and light. It had an air condition which we could control to set our desired temperature. Enough toiletries available in the bathroom/toilet. There was enough storage space for the luggage and a refrigerator available as well. One TV with some channels available. Also, had a work desk, couple of chairs. In balcony there was a coffee table and couple of chairs where we could seat out and enjoy some food/drinks in the evening. You could make tea/coffee on your own. Breakfast in the morning was plenty and seating arrangement for COVID was well placed. Reception and staff were to the point and helpful. There is a nice bakery just opposite to the hotel and a very good Japanese restaurant within 3 minutes walking distance. We always had our night dinner from this Japanese restaurant. Location of the hotel is very good in order to travel to city center and all points of interest. We could reach in city center by a tram within 15 minutes. Hotel has a decent parking place. Lobby is big and one can get tea/coffee in the lobby any time. Hotel also has a bar where you can buy some beer or alcoholic/non alcoholic drinks. All in all we had a great stay for 4 days and very happy with our experience. I will recommend this hotel and would stay here again if we visit Nuremberg again.

Only stayed one night but was impressed from the get go. It was clean and a lot of attention to detail in the rooms. The beds were very comfortable with the softest duvets! Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the staff were friendly and very helpful, allowing us to leave our bags in the luggage store so we don’t have to lug them around all day.

Europe is not fond of air conditioning.
That being said, this hotel had some. Wasn't great, but it was pretty good.
Reception staff has been very helpful with anything I needed. The shower was powerful in Room 200. Breakfast offerings are pretty good. They even had chocolate milk. Neighborhood is not my cup of tea. There is nothing right nearby except for a bakery. Looking out the window, I could be in any city. The room is cute, everything I need, including fridge and free water bottles. I did find a few cobwebs in my room, and the pillows are just awful!

We had booked one night and two rooms on a drive home to Denmark. We had secured a hotel with air conditioning and parking. We arrived late and tired and the rooms weren't ready until an hour later, there was no parking and the air conditioning didn't work. The rooms were dirty - for example with piles of feces in the toilet and visible dirt on the floors. Really bad experience. When we told the receptionist about our experience at check-out, we got a "We're sorry".

Of course, beggers can't be choosers during the Spielwarenmesse in town. You take whatever is left.

Non smoking room was reeking old cigarette smoke. Hair in the shower, heating/cooling system that doesn't really work, overall a room that needed to be repainted and lots of repair. The beds are quite stiff, no comfort. Poorly soundproofed. Heard next door neighbors partying for 2 nights in a row.

On the bright side, conveniently located need to the metro and the breakfast is exquisite!

Bar service at the lounge is quite amateur.

Great location near the U-Bahn. Price point for a big city was excellent! Hotel was clean. Staff was efficient and friendly. Parking is available, as long as you park mid-afternoon. Room was clean and the internet worked well. I highly recommend this hotel in Nurenburg!

Really nice hotel with excellent breakfast and spacious rooms. However if you arrive in a car, there is no guarantee you will get a parking spot in the hotel's parking lot.t. If there is no room in their lot, you will have to park on the street if you can find a spot that is not in a "no parking zone".

We stayed here for 2 nights end November in order to attend the famous Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt – Christmas Markets.

The hotel is situated on the west side of Nuremberg city center about 5 mins by U-Bahn underground from the markets, castle, shopping, etc. Trains are very regular and run on schedule and are very reasonably priced. The airport is only another 15 mins away from center by another U-Bahn so easy to get from and to hotel. We paid just €8.50 for the two of us for unlimited travel over the complete weekend. Hotel is less than 5 mins walk from Eberharshof U-Bahn station.

Hotel is reasonably modern for German standards and styles. Rooms are traditional but well appointed and very clean. Our room as with most had a small balcony, in-room safe and full sized fridge. There was plenty of hanging space for our clothing. Only comment I would make is that the shower area / tub is on the small side so could be an issue of you are a large person.

Breakfast is included and was excellent both in quality and choice of both hot and cold items and beverage choices.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful from front desk to breakfast waitresses. There is complimentary tea, coffee and other hot drinks available in reception / bar area 24 hours a day. The bar is open during the day / evening.

All public areas are very nice and comfortable with soft seating in the reception area. Bedroom corridors appear a bit plain and dark but that is typical of most German hotels I find.

Breakfast was very busy both mornings due to the time of year but staff coped very well keeping items well stocked.

Where hotel is situated is a bit out of town and so selection of pubs & restaurants is limited however there is a nice cafe bar directly opposite hotel for snacks, lunch etc. and an Italian and a Greek restaurant only ~ 5 mins walk away, next door to each other. Turn left out of the hotel to main road, turn left again, walk for few mins taking second left then sharp right – you are there. We ate in the Italian, Pizzeria Romantica both nights – food was excellent and friendly staff. Place is very small but perfectly formed – would recommend it. We had drinks in the Greek place which was nice too.

Nuremberg is a lovely old city with great history, marvelous building including many churches and the castle. If you get a chance to visit the Christmas Markets then do so as they are wonderful.

I would definitely stay at this Best Western hotel again if staying in Nuremberg due to its position, value and quality.

Stayed at the Best Western Hotel Nüremburg City West, from 2nd - 6th December 2018 with my partner for weeks break to see the Christmas Markets in Nüremburg.

We arrived in Nüremburg at approximately 1400h after taking the ICE train from Frankfurt, and then took the U-bahn (U1) from the Main Railway Station towards Fürth, getting off at Eberhardshof station, and then its literary a 50 metre walk to the hotel. (It’s even signposted at the U-bahn station) up the stairs/lift onto the main road (Fürther Straße) towards the city centre, then left turn onto Reger Straße (just behind the Honda Dealership), can’t miss it, it’s very easy to find !!!

At the reception desk we were met by a very friendly and efficient lady who very quickly checked us in, and we went up to our room on the first floor.

The room itself was quite a large room, with a flat screen TV with reasonable amount of channels, both German, English. French etc., table/chairs, balcony, enough wardrobe space, fridge, and reasonable sized bathroom with lots of towels, shampoos/soap, and tea / coffee making facilities, and clean! The room was also air condition (although didn’t need it in December), there is also Wi-Fi (but didn’t use it so can’t comment on it), it wasn’t a great view from the balcony as the room looked out onto the car park, which is at the back of the Honda dealership, as previously mentioned, but all things taken into account a good start!

Once we had freshened up we went into Nüremburg (back on the U-bahn, it literally takes eight minutes) and had a look at the Christmas Markets, which are excellent.
Later that evening returned (again via the U-bahn) and had a ‘night cap’ in the bar (the bar is fairly small, but it is open to the foyer as well, and the bar staff were friendly and efficient)

In the morning came down for breakfast about 0830-0900h, which is served in a room just off the main foyer. Now it does get very busy at this time, but we never had a problem getting a table, the staff were very quick and efficient. There doesn’t seem to be an ‘end’ time as well, later on in the week (after a few late nights, and went for breakfast later) saw a few people coming down for breakfast nearer to 10.00h

I would describe the breakfast as typically German, with a good variety of food available, cereals, cooked meats, fruit, yogurts, rolls, hot food (sausages, bacon and scrambled egg) good variety of teas & coffees, fruit juices etc. etc. (there’s more than enough choice for everyone)

The area in which this hotel is located is nothing to shout about, I would describe it a light industrial/retail area, however its great advantage is that it’s right next to the U-Bahn station at Eberhardshof, which makes it very easy to commute into Nüremburg. (Or Fürth) and you don’t end up paying city centre prices. The public transport system, (VGN) which includes the Underground, Trams, Buses, S-Bahn (local trains) is excellent; I actually downloaded their app, which is easy to use, available in English, and very reasonable priced.(highly recommended)

Places to visit in Nüremburg, because of the time of year the Christmas Markets are a must, it wasn’t as busy as I thought it would be, but it was busy and I think it would get busier closer to Christmas itself. They are very good, very good indeed.

Secondly depending on your point of view I would recommend to Nüremburg Trails memorial on Bärenschanzstraße (just off Fürther Straße) get off the U-Bahn at Bärenschanze (its only short walk) if Court 600 is open to the public (that’s the actual court where the trails were held) then go in, it’s very emotive (but be warned it’s a working court, and may be closed to the public) at €6 its very reasonable.

Another place worth a visit again depending on point of view is the Doku-zentrum Reichsparteitagsgelande on Bayernstraße, and the Zepelinfield (in fact the whole area) this site of the Nüremburg Rallies in the 1930’s, again its only €6, its very interesting and thought provoking ! (You can either get the U-Bahn to Frankenstraße and walk down Frankenstraße itself onto Bayernstraße or go on the S-bahn and get off at Nüremburg-Dutzendteich and walk down Bayernstraße or the tram which stops directly outside the Doku-zentrum (tram no 6 or 8)

The castle is worth a visit and so is the rail museum (DB museum) on Lessingstraße (this was recommended to me, and is surprisingly good).

A trip into Fürth is also worth a visit, it had small Christmas market which quite nice, although I think they were a bit over shadowed by their larger neighbour.

Places to eat, depends on your tastes, but found a Vietnamese restaurant in Fürth on Helmstraße called Asia-Bistro Dim Sum, first time in Vietnamese restaurant, very nice (I’ve put something on Trip Advisor about this). In Nüremburg the Sangam Indian Restaurant and Finnegans on Königstraße were nice as well as O’Sheas on Wespennest, word of warning all the restaurants get busy in and around the Christmas Markets. .

Overall this is very nice hotel, staff are helpful, rooms are nice, breakfast are excellent, some nice touches like 24 hour tea/coffee in the foyer, and fridge in the room, small bar but very good. Excellent location for getting in and out of Nüremburg.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This was our second stay at this hotel and once again we received a friendly welcome on arrival. It is not in the centre of Nuremberg, but is just a few stops on the U-Bahn, and the Eberhardhof station on U1 is just a very short walk. Public transport is good and we found it convenient for the Altstadt and an easy connection for the airport. If there are two adults travelling together or with children then the Tages Ticket Plus is a good option and is cheaper than getting separate day tickets for each person. Valid for one day only, but if you buy it on a Saturday it includes travel on Sunday. Using a Bayern ticket covers the whole of Bavaria for one day, so we made a day trip to Regensburg on the Danube river. Being outside the central area we found BW Hotel Nuremberg City West is quieter than many hotels. Breakfast is very good, with plenty of choice, and very efficient friendly breakfast staff. Sometimes crowded when coach parties are visiting, but we always got seated quickly and the breakfast times are longer than most hotels we've stayed at. Our room had a fridge and a kettle and a safe for small valuables. Be aware there is no restaurant at this hotel - they only do breakfast, which we really enjoyed, and a few bar snacks. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, and would love to stay again if I come back to Nuremberg.

No USB point. Bring your own charger, or ask at the front desk. They are very helpful and will likely have a plan for you to charge.

Sorry can’t help with that one, but would guess you would have to go through the main Best Western system, which isn’t the most reliable normally. Good Luck.
