Great location, comfortable spacious room and recently renovated. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast is extensive.
Did I mention the location, so handy to the old city, restaurants and attractions.
Only minor downside is the usual lack of air conditioning in many cities.

Hotel Burgschmiet resting on a quiet street near the old town, offers very nice basic rooms which have comfortable beds, good design and cleanliness of the rooms, great breakfast with a big variety of offerings, hot and cold, and a very helpful and friendly staff. We did enjoy our stay there although the carpets could use some sprucing up.

The biggest problem was not knowing it would be necessary to reserve a parking space in order to have one, so we faced a very unpleasant afternoon of trying to find parking on the street (nearly impossible). After finding a temporary spot, the very helpful desk clerk offered a paper clock to show time, so the car would be ok. However, just then, a permanent spot opened up, I moved the car, but before II could maneuver to the new place, someone else parked there and another person took the space where I had been! Ultimately we parked several streets away, still in a temporary designation. If you do stay here and have a car, make sure to reserve a parking place.

This was our first visit to Nuremberg. I researched a lot of hotels before making my decision. I am glad l picked this hotel.
I cannot comment on the breakfast as we never ate in at the hotel. The check in and out was painless. They also provide a map of the area which we found great.

The room itself is spacious and has a mini bar which is very reasonably priced. The beds are very comfortable and you get a duvet each (even for double bed). Which we actually liked.

Transport links are easy if you need them. The tram stop is 2 minutes walk away. There is also a supermarket with a cafe 2 minutes in the opposite direction.

The centre itself is easily within walking distance. There is so much to see and do within the surrounding area. We were specifically visiting for the Xmas markets.

You can if needed get a Nuremberg Card which once activated lasts 48 hours and gets to access to certain museums and all of the public transport it costs about €30 each.

We will definitely be rebooking this hotel again.

It was the most frustrating service I've ever had. :-( I was supposed to arrive to Nuremberg and stay at this hotel for 3 nights. 2 days before the arrival I got really unwell and unfortunately had to move my flight to another date. Free cancellation at the hotel wasn't possible anymore, however I tried to call the hotel and explain them the situation since I was really ill and couldn't arrive.
Surprisingly I was told that it was my problem and I could have cancelled this for free when I had the chance to...
Although I was completely shocked I tried to ask if other options available. They didn't have any rooms available on other dates and when I asked for a possibility for at least a reduced cancellation fee, the administrator answer was again that it was my problem and I will be charged fully. I tried to explain again but she didn't want to listen and the conversation was over.

The hotel had very nice rooms with a large bathroom. Located just a short walk from a metro stop, it made it easy to get around. The hotel is also located just a short walk from one of the main gates to the walled city. The location made it very easy for us to walk to all the major sites and Christmas markets.

Great location, this hotel is 2 minute walk from the nearest tram station. Lovely cafes located nearby and 10 minute walk from the Christmas market through the wonderful castle arch. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, we had an issue with our shower, could not have been fixed quicker. Add your breakfast!! Food was incredible, fresh all made on site and a huge variety. Room was incredibly comfortable, spacious and I have even asked about buying a mattress from their provider (its an option in the rooms) as it helped my wifes bad back. Hotel is also spotlessly clean. 100% rdecmmend the stay in this hotel.

Beautifully decorated 3* Hotel Garni in the immediate vicinity (5 minutes walk) of the old town with various sized rooms, all very clean with new bathroom, shower and toilet. The beds have great comfortable mattresses that are wonderful to lie on and which you can also purchase through the hotel. The breakfast is simply great, nothing is left to be desired, there is even a waffle machine. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately there are only a few parking spaces (€10 per night) behind the house. There are special offers such as an arrangement with a city tour or a night watchman's tour.

Once again a friendly welcome that immediately puts you at ease.
In the morning at breakfast, we ensure that nothing is missing. Unfortunately I forgot to reserve a parking space in advance, there were several options close to the hotel. The owner was kind enough to give up his parking space in front of the hotel so that we could park in front of the hotel without any costs.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Quiet and yet very close to the city center.
The tram stop is right outside the door. Parking spaces either on the street or in the courtyard
The rooms are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very nice.
Both well maintained and clean.
The staff is very friendly and helpful
The breakfast exceeds all expectations.
Everything is there: fresh fruit, rolls and great bread. Sausage, cheese, spreads and eggs in several varieties, as well as the selection of drinks
We were completely satisfied and would gladly come back.

We were there in December as well, but it is a double brick well insulated building. Just don't ask for a room on the top floor, which is where we were, right under the roof.

Unsure which airport are your planning to arrive, I came from Frankfurt airport by train to Nuremberg, you can book on-line train ticket at DB web site. While arriving Nuremberg train station, you can go to the hotel by taxi or by BUS.
