Detailed Reviews
We were very impressed with this hotel and its great location overlooking the square in the old town. The reception staff were extremely helpful in directing and guiding us about the area with maps and personal info to improve our stay.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to all and at a reasonable cost.

Dear Helen Q, thank you very much for your excellent tripadvisor.com review. We really appreciate it when our guests take the time to give us feedback about their stay at our hotel. Our goal is to receive only positive reviews. When you honor us with yours we know we are on the best path of success. You stayed in Nuernberg during the Toy Fair. This is the most expensive rate of the year. We are sorry! We hope to welcome you again With kind regards, Eva Horka

Hotel Houser was a lovely place to stay in Nuremberg. The staff was very welcoming and kind upon our arrival. The rooms were nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was also air-conditioning in each of the rooms. this hotel was centrally located, making it easy to access all the important sites in Nuremberg. Parking was also close by and reasonably priced.
We can’t speak highly enough about the staff at this hotel. Not only were they welcoming, but very helpful in pointing us in the right direction for various things to do in town. Also, if we had any questions or concerns about the room, they were addressed right away.
We would highly recommend hotel Houser to anyone staying in Nuremberg.

The day and night desk clerks were extremely helpful and kind! We rented 4 rooms and all were very clean and decorated so nice and quaint. The Location was perfect!! Close to local pubs and walking distance to historical downtown.
Highly recommend this small hotel in place of the large commercial ones available!

Basic clean, quiet, modern decor room. Check-in was little trying but staff was very friendly. Location was wonderful, a nice little square in front with a tavern across the way. In back is the River Pegnitz. A quiet restaurant occupies the ground floor. There's no real lobby or lounge area, the entry serves both the restaurant and hotel accessed by stairs, but there is a nice little bar off to the left that overlooks the square, and you can take your drink outside and sit at the many tables there.

Well-located, good value, walkable from the u-bahn and near all you need to walk to, with very friendly reception staff, smart clean rooms with all you need, well planned and thought out, quiet, comfortable, and a generous breakfast, I recommend this hotel, and would gladly return.

I just spent a couple nights at the Hotel Hauser, and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a small square, near the Pegnitz river running through Nürnberg. Generally speaking, it's a calm and peaceful location. During my stay, the building next store was being remodeled, so there was some excess noise due to that, but they finished in the afternoon. The restaurant downstairs also draws a crowd, but they were seldom distracting with the windows completely open.
the room was light and airy. The size was more than comfortable, though the bed was a little on the firm side for me (honestly, this is typical of european beds - so it's more a preference). The bathroom was clean, fixtures look new, and overall, the room was in very good condition. I did find a few dust bunnies in the corners, but that is minor.
the convenience this hotel provides is really a strong suit - it is ideally located and only takes 10 minutes to walk to the Kaiserburg or Albrecht Dürer's house. Another convenience is the restaurant on the ground floor - Opatija - named after a city in Croatia (they feature a croatian/mediterranean menu). I ended up eating there both nights, simply because the food was so good.
As I was going to the train station on my way out of Nürnberg, I passed a few larger, more commercial hotels, and was very thankful for my pleasant stay at Hotel Hauser. Highly recommended.

I stayed at this Hotel for two night on a business trip. The Hotel has a lovely appearance and just on the edge of the old town. It is perfectly positioned for easy access to most amenities, whether that be the shops or the bars and restaurants.
I was on the top floor, 3rd floor. There appeared to be no lift which to me was not an issue, just an observation.
The room was a nice size with view over the front. Again, the bathroom was a nice size and immaculately clean. It was so clean it looked brand new!!
The only criticism of the Bathroom was the size of the shower enclosure. It was a small quadrant between 800-900mm I think, no bigger for sure. In today’s world that is a small shower. I am relatively slim but it was a little challenging.
The Wifi was free and very fast, excellent as I was working from the room on some occasions.
I had breakfast at the Hotel and was impressed by the choice and high quality produce.
The Receptionist was very welcoming and very helpful. And always had a smile for us when we walked past the Reception office.
I did not eat here on an evening, we ventured into the old town.
Lovely Hotel which I would return to without hesitation and would definitely recommend.

This antique building is charming and VERY well located next to the Hangman's Bridge and shopping. However, it's also very quiet, so that was great. The staff is extremely helpful and English-speaking. No elevator. The rooms are nice and modern, though they could use just a touch extra of dusting. Otherwise very clean, nice and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

We found this to be a very nice hotel. The staff was accommodating and was happy to let me try my limited language skills. The rooms ( we had two different rooms as we extended our stay) were very nice. Nothing fancy but good beds and nicely laid out bathrooms. Air conditioning was something we did not use but it was kinda funky as they just added portable machines with a big flexible tube you were suppose to hang out the window. You have to remember this is an old quaint building.
They have a nice outdoor sitting area but no real lobby, so if the weather is nice it is great to sit outside and watch all the people coming and going.
City sounds could be heard and even late at night we could hear voices of people on the street. We did have the windows open and to be honest it did not bother us but if this type of background city noise is something that bothers you , then maybe not a perfect spot for you.
The location is great as you are inside the walled part of the city. If you have a car parking is difficult but that is true throughout the city.
Breakfast was good and we had lots of choices.
So if you want something quaint with a lot of good atmosphere I highly recommend this hotel.

Dear fe111, thank you very much for your visit and the very nice tripadvisor.com review. We are pleased that you had a nice stay and liked the location and the breakfast. In our hotel we ensure the highest standard of comfort as far as the monumental protection of our historical building allows us to and installed portable A/C units in the historical guest rooms for a perfect temperature regulation even on hot days. Unfortunately we are not able to influence the occasional higher levels of noise in our very urban setting which characterises the liveliness of a vibrant city. We hope to welcome you again in our hotel during your next visit in Nuernberg. Best regards, Eva Horka

No there's not coffee / tea maker or water kettle in the room.
I do not think so, as the hotel is so central, but I also recommend making contact with the hotel, eg via email or a call, just to check. Often hotels in Germany do have parking, with an arrangement at a nearby underground car park.
