Our family of four--2 adults and 2 children under ten--stayed three nights at the Hotel Markusturm last winter, checking in on Dec 29 and out on January 1. I contacted the hotel ahead of our trip for walking directions from the train station, and they were prompt and friendly--always a good sign :-) Overall our experience was very positive, and...

My husband and I stayed here for 2 days. The front desk was polite and very helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. Little things like an iron and a ceiling fan made our stay easier. Breakfast was very well done, eggs cooked to order, meats, fruit, muffins, toast, etc. The location of the hotel was right in the middle...

We were traveling through here with our teenager earlier this month. This hotel, as has been commented on several prior reviews, is very well located, charming and very nice rooms with great bathroom. I particularly liked the family atmosphere of the hotel and by that I mean not only were there other families staying there and quietly blending in with...

This hotel is a true gem. they are located in one of the more fascinating towns in all the world ( it truly is a German village of the 15th century) and the hotel fits right in. The staff was welcoming, very friendly and helpful in all ways. We met the owner Lila and she is a wonderful engaging person...

This hotel is located in the heart of the old city. The market square is just a few steps away and there is plenty to do, eat, and see all around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was included and delicious. The hotel is decorated in a mid-evil theme which fits the setting in the old city....

We were delayed by one day in flying from London to Munich (BA's engineers forgetting to tighten up hatch covers on a flight to Oslo) and thought we would have to only spend our second planned night at this beautiful hotel. The owners could not have been more helpful and understanding of our plight, making our stay a memorable one....

We have stayed several times at this hotel, and we love the charm and the history and the hospitality of Frau Berger. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are huge, the dining room is lovely and breakfast is great. We were delighted to see they are now advertising free wireless Internet throughout the hotel, but that turns out to be...

We enjoyed our stay in this classic hotel. We had a triple deluxe family room which was huge. We appreciated that they had a fan set up in the room as we arrived on a very hot day. Hotel is quiet and within walking distance of all the sights. Great breakfast. When you enter town on the street that the...

We chose the hotel because of its old ambiance and is located by one of the gates, walking distance to the market square. When we booked the room, we had to take the dinner package including the Nightwatch tour at 9.30 pm bec it was obligatory. No choice! We arrived late, right before 7pm, so we had to rush and...

This hotel was great, although there was confusion at check in about the information submitted by booking.com for our reservation. Stephen was very helpful in working with us to add a roll away to our room without a problem. The staff was very helpful and the restaurant was very good. The rooms we larger than normal, and though not air...
