We loved this hotel. Clean and nicely kept rooms, with a view of a lovely little courtyard outback and the medival wall right behind the hotel. Candlelight breakfast with a great assortment. Good location; about a 5 minute walk into the town center. Parking was a little tight in the back along the wall, but included with the room. Nice... More

Great place to stay, close to everything in the town. Inga and the staff were fabulous ! Made you feel like a guest in their home. The rooms where charming, the showers in the bath were great. Breakfast had a great variety. Nothing else to say except we'll be back next year and look forward to seeing our new German... More

It was our first visit to Rothenburg, so we didn't know what to expect. The city is totally inside a huge fortified wall. The front gate is massive and you feel like you are crossing a castle's moat. Not your normal entrance to a city. The hotel is centrally located. Once you park behind the hotel, you can walk anywhere... More

The hotel is located within the city walls but not quite in the town centre. It's about a 15 minute walk to the "Rathaus" (town hall). It has a garage. There aren't enough places for all guests, but we were lucky to get one (at an extra charge). The hotel tries to appear "quaint", "old-fashioned", "charming" or whatever, but this... More

I booked this hotel on Tuesday, 2 October 2012 via booking.com. As a member of the US Army stationed in Germany, I was planning to take my wife and son for a night in Rothenburg, followed by a night in Ulm. I was scheduled to have Friday, 5 October 2012 off, and booked the Gerberhaus for that Friday, with check-in... More

After staying here for 3 nights in September 2012, I was definitely disappointed. We paid 110 Euros ($145) per night for a property that had it been $90. a night I might have understood. The room (#18) on first look seemed charming. As we settled in we realized that that was really no place to lay things out. Then we... More

On checking out ot this hotel in August 2012, the proprietor of this hotel asked me how I would like to pay. I said American Express, which they advertised that they accept. I always use Amex when traveling. She said, "Oh dont you have another credit card? American express is expensive for me to use, I don't like to take... More

Our 2-night stay at Hotel Gerberhaus was everything we had hoped for. This wonderful, charming property is located on the Romantic Road and is like a step back in time. The staff was very cordial and helpful. Our breakfast (included in our room cost) was abundant and delightful. The room was nice and comfortable and very quiet. This was our... More

This is the second time we have stayed at Hotel Gerberhaus and it was another positive experience. The hotel has a lot of character and the guest rooms and breakfast rooms have a wonderful medieval ambience. The rooms are individually decorated. We had two rooms and they were clean and comfortable. We did notice one morning however, a lady coming out... More

This was my favorite hotel after staying in 7 countries in 21 days! It feels like a home. Beautiful private patio. Breakfast was the best, including Prosecco! Walking distance to everything. Street side is quiet in this medieval town. We walked the whole town and this Hotel is a great central location.
