We stayed for just one night but you can't beat the location or charm! There is parking behind the hotel and costs 7.50€/ night. We had hot cocoa and dessert after a long day exploring and it was fantastic! The rooms are recently renovated and have lovely bathrooms and comfortable beds. TV in all languages.

The BurgGartenpalais probably gets its name from the fact that it has a large garden/patio in the back. I think the only other hotel in Rothenburg with a similar feature is the Eisenhut. Unlike the Eisenhut, all of the rooms in the "Burg" are large and quaint. Parking is right behind the building, too, in back of the garden, and... More

We wanted a central hotel with private parking and found the BurgGarten Palais on Trip advisor. Very good solution: nice room, perfect location, private parking in the back yard, nice staff. Breackfast is ok.but maybe not as rich as you can expect from a four star hotel. the food in the restaurant is ok but menu is limited. Overall a... More

We booked online several months in advance. Not sure if this was necessary as there did not appear to be a lot of people staying here. Perhaps the price point was a factor or we just never saw them. We wanted to stay in one really nice hotel during our stay in Germany and we just about hit the jackpot... More

Lovely restored mansion with modern amenities including elevator, bathrooms, restaurant. Owner and staff are charming and responsive to every request. The family room and double room were both spacious. Market center just a short walk and very near the Christmas shops ( worth visiting if you are a lover of all things Christmas!).

Pleasent surroundings in a busy part of town. Very nice restaurant with well prepared Schwäbin items. Guinea hen was beautifully done with a nice local red wine. Schnitzel cordon bleu was equally delicious.

A wonderful hotel with updated bathrooms and an elevator. The staff is very helpful and aim to please. The location is a block off the main Marketplatz and the near the old city walls so it is quiet and picturesque. There is a lovely Terrasse to sit outside and have a meal as well as a restaurant and large breakfast... More

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Hotel is about 5 minutes walk from town center and 1 minute from town walls and two quiet gardens. The hotel website and photos are accurate and can describe the place better than I can. Both the bedroom and bathroom were about twice the size I had expected, in addition there was an 'ante-room'... From the moment we arrived at this hotel we felt very welcome. It is such a lovely historic hotel in a great location inside the walled city. Staff brilliant, breakfast very very good, air conditioning....what more could you want. Hotel presented beautifully and very clean. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Only issue as with most accommodation in this town... More

Professionally run hotel, classic historic architecture, comfortable, air conditioned (rare in a Rothenburg hotel and it was 90 F when we were there!) rooms. Great staff (thank you Denis), comfortable rooms, (did I already mention the air conditoning?), elevator, beautiful garden patio out back to have breakfast, an excellent dinner or a glass of wine. The hotel is just a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is not difficult to find a room for the nights in Rothenburg. One of the loveliest is to be found in the Herrngasse. It goes without saying that to live in a building from the Middle Ages has its attractions. Not luxurious, perhaps, but very comfortable, yet homely in the best sense. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, so that an enjoyable stay is assurd. One of the oldest nobleman`s house with individual and stylish interior. ... more   less
