Checkin and check out was flawless and the man running the desk was very kind and informative. Parking is a bit of a walk if you can't find a space out front and driving on the very narrow roads is a nightmare, but this is not the hotel's problem. Stayed on the top floor (only one very large room for... More

Before he became Holy Roman Emperor, Maximilian I stayed at this place in the year 1474. Things don’t get any older than this. The hotel oozes mediaeval character. It is situated on the most important road in the fairy tale town, right in the centre with its superbly preserved and restored buildings, although our GPS had difficulty in locating it.... More

Oh wow what a treat. This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. I felt like a princess in my own castle, eating my breakfast in the library. Considering the age of the building so clean and comfortable.

The Staff didn't make you feel welcome when you arrive and according to German standard the breakfast was poor. On check out the Staff had a problem with 15 minutes later check out. No airconditioning in the room and very poor parking possibilities. The town is a Walt Disney theme park for older, Chinese/Japanese tourists and very commercial.

Charming family run hotel located just off the Markt square this is a modern hotel with medieval touches and friendly service. We booked (2 nights) room 30 at the back of the hotel off the street which had a small main room, a small sitting area double sink bathroom and a wonderful balcony with a view over the roofs and... The Hotel Gotisches Haus is the perfect place to stay for a magical visit in the medieval, walled old town of Rothenberg ob der Tauber. This small, family-run inn is a historic town house near the town center that is beautifully renovated with a wonderful blend of conserved architectural features and modern conveniences. The staff is warm & welcoming, and... More

We reserved two rooms for our little family and both rooms were great and the bathrooms were huge! Wonderful large bathtubs in each although a bit slippery if you want to shower (one room had a separate shower so we used that room for showers). Our room had a separate area with a bed for our third person and a... More

My wife and I booked via Booking.com five days before departure stay at 3 different locations in Germany and Austria. The booking was easy. Anyone can participate. Upon arrival from Austria we were greeted by a stressed and not so gracious woman, however, helped us with the preparation of parking permit for EUR 7 per. day. We parked nearby and... More

We decided to splurge and get two rooms here for a family of four due to the location (a few doors down from the Christmas store) and the history of this property. Walking into the lobby reminded us of walking into a furnished medieval castle. See picture. The room was updated- with TV and a modern refurbished bathroom. The only... More

Quaint, fun, quality and quiet hotel and room. This may have been our favorite hotel room ever. Beds were very comfortable, blankets and pillows very fluffy, high quality building materials, small cozy nook for sitting and TV with balcony in back of house. Breakfast bar was wonderful too.
