This likely is not the right hotel for you if you have difficulty walking or can't climb stairs - there is no lift and the rooms are up one or two flights. If it is hot, there is no air conditioning- true in most smaller hotels in Germany. The nearby hotel parking garage is very good but difficult to find...

Great location, walking distance to market place. Comfortable room and excellent friendly service. I have stayed here twice and always get a warm welcome. There is secure garage parking if you need it as I did for my motorbike.

we were four. The check in was not easy. There was nobody to receive us. Then we had an attic for room. The roof was slanted and we stayed at the third floor. There is no elevator. The location is excellent. Everything else was fair. Not recommended!!! The interned did not work well at all. Paula

Great location inside the historic village. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Good size room for 3 adults. We left our suitcases in the car and bought day packs up to our room so we did not have to wheel bags over cobble stones and carry up stairs. The garage is in a separate building. Owner offered to carry our suitcases but...

Without 'research' we went in to ask if there was an available room, we were lucky, there was one... The lady of the house is a very helpfull and friendly woman who immediately took the time to show us to our room, no remarks here, the room was spacious and very clean. We could park our car at the back...

Friendly staff. Nice family room. Reallly good restaurant with great german cuisine. The breakfast not quite so impressive but absolutely acceptable. The town must be one of the most picturesque towns in Germany and in our opinion not so touristy as you might think. The only downside is driving within the town walls which is a real thrill, at least...

A friendly staff welcomed us, and was very helpful with parking of our car in a good secure garage just next to the hotel. Rather small and narrow staircase up to the third floor (with suitcases...) but understandable as this is a old building in the middle of the old town. Did not see any emergency exit signs... The breakfast...

My wife and I, both in our 60's, booked this lodging about a week before we arrived in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We were looking for something in the old town that was not too expensive. What luck! To get this hotel on short notice during early October was amazing. When we arrived by car, I found the hotel but...

Zur Sonne is in the absolute centre in Rothenburg. It has its own parking not too far away. Rothenburg is a must if you want to see medieval Germany. Dinkelsbühl and Nörtlingen are also worth seeing. Zur Sonne is only 10 meters away from the marketplace
