We love Berlin because it is always excitingly different. But as much as we like to see what is happening in the city, the more we appreciate a cozy nest, into which we can retreat after an hour long day. In our 186 rooms you will find just such a place where you can recharge your batteries for new deeds. And through the floor-to-ceiling window fronts you always have the view of the city. If you want go for a city tour, you should nourish your body particularly well. We pamper you at the Seminaris CampusHotel Berlin with the best cuisine: from breakfast to lunch and dinner at the restaurant Papillon to a nightcap at the bar Faculty Club, we spoil your taste buds with culinary delights, fresh and surprising. On our terrace you can experience it all outside in warm temperatures. Due to its unique location on the campus of Freie Universität Berlin, the Seminaris CampusHotel breathes a lot of knowledge and innovative spirit. The ideal place to initiate change processes on a solid foundation conventionally or with the living methods of the world of New Work and to create ideas and concepts together. A creative environment with separate Conferene Center with 15 meeting rooms, break-out facilities, conference hall as well as separable group work rooms and flexible co-working spaces for business in between. You can feel the big city fever in our modern fitness and sauna area. You will be also amazed how much nature you can discover around the hotel, because we are very close to the Botanical Garden and the Grunewald with its famous hunting lodge. And just a stone's throw away, you are in the middle of the city west with must-sees such as the Kurfürstendamm and Brandenburg Gate, but also in business mode with the Berlin Messe and the City Cube. Just 300 m from the hotel you will find the underground station Dahlem-Dorf.

Clean and reasonably comfortable hotel at the Free University, Berlin. Because it is so far from the center, I don't think there is any reason to stay here unless you have business at the university or in the neighborhood. As others have accurately said, the furnishing is more or less like a university dormitory, but that's not a terrible thing. The bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably large. The one major negative was the shower — which is your proverbial hotel shower from hell. The temperature can go from cold to scalding hot in a second, so there's no way to comfortably shower. You have to be constantly changing the temperature control. And the water pressure is quite bad too. The one surprising positive was the breakfast buffet, which has more choices than almost any other European hotel I have stayed in, spread out over two rooms — and the quality is good. A surprising omission is the total absence of a toaster, which is a flaw they really should fix.

I'm writing not because of the quality of the hotel or the staff, all of which were satisfactory. Rather I wish to report something that occurred on the night of November 29th, 2023. I was staying in room 302 and getting ready for bed when I heard someone entering room 301. I heard loud noises like closets and drawers slamming and assumed my neighbor had had too much to drink, or was in a foul mood. At some point he tried to open the door that adjoined our rooms. Fortunately it was locked, but he kept jiggling the door handle. I was concerned and was about to call the desk when he quieted down, and I eventually fell asleep. But at 4:40am I awoke to the same violent jiggling noise. He was trying to get in again! This time I was genuinely scared and called the desk, but no one picked up. I stayed up until morning completely on edge. I wrote twice to the Seminaris Campus Hotel describing what had happened, but no one replied. All I can say is, if you stay here--make sure you don't get room 302. 😱

You'd stay here only if you have business at the Freie University, for which it is convenient and basically the only option. Take the U Dahlem-Dorf (U3,U1) lines into town (30 minutes to everywhere). So, adequate, with rooms that are basically dorm rooms with en-suite toilet, sink, shower. Breakfast extensive and good. In-house restaurant (limited dining options off-campus) and lounge.

Have stayed at a few hotels in Berlin - and this is the one I keep coming back to - location, and value for money - design and comfort and tranquillity and harmony of design - staff always very professional, helpful and most welcoming and friendly - breakfast is a wonderful indulgence. Hope to continue to return. Thank you Seminaris CampusHotel Berlin

The receptionists are the unfriendliest, if not rudest, that I've ever encountered in all my years of travel around the world. This is unfortunate, because the location for those attending conferences/functions at the Free University of Berlin is ideal.

Worst Service i have ever experienced. Hotel was pre paid through 3rd party booking service, upon arrival in the Self check in counter I had to pay for the full reservation again. Since it was late and we needed our room I chose to pay and deal with it later. When confronting the front desk I was met by 2 arrogant guys who couldn't care less to help with the problem and told me that they only had an invoice from the 3rd party booking. I showed them my mastercard transaction and said that they could check the Lobby camera to see that exact time on the check in day I would be in the lobby entering my card details on the Check in Ipad but no help was provided. Afterwards I contacted the Hotel through website with no response so I have just been left with paying twice for a hotel room. I am for sure never using Seminaris ever again.

Overall this place is really clean with a calming atmosphere. The hotel gives a lot of opportunity's to stay as much as possible climate neutral. But the fitnessroom and sauna is not good maintained and visiting with a dog makes it impossible to eat in the breakfast room. (Sadly) You need to evate to the room next to the breakfast room. The breakfast itself is good and has a large range of food. The connection is also pretty good but the restaurants near the hotel are not the best, so you need to eat in town.

We were booked into the Seminaris Campus Hotel during a workshop in Berlin and we really enjoyed how the hotel is nestled into the quiet area of Dahlem, which can easily be reached by U-Bahn from the inner city center. The rooms were nice and the staff really helpful. There are some nice restaurants in the vicinity and you can jogg in the alleys.
