I stayed in here in August 2016, in a single room with a shared bathroom. The room was basic, with a thin duvet, thin, hard mattress, towels and a TV. The bathroom had exposed pipes, discoloured grout and very basic amenities. While this was entirely adequate for one night, the bed was uncomfortable and the hotel needed a good deal...

Nice hotel but not well heated ( in winter ). Full size glass in room wall side ( for nice view to street ) is good for summer but in winter keeps the room rather cold . Room was average in size and so was breakfast. Location was ok and very close to a metro ( U bahn ) station...

The most disgusting place I have ever been to in my entire life! Foul, dirty, squalid. Floors were full of grime. Blood on the sheets. Horrible rooms. Loud construction work from 7 am in the corridor! The staff are criminals! This hovel deserves to be shut down. The police should close this down.

Stayed here before Christmas for two nights as a stop-gap measure as there was a problem with bookings at our original hotel. The location is excellent, the breakfast was basic but good and the price was certainly unbeatable but that is where the good points end. The rooms were filthy, the bed linen had blood stains and the floors were...

My fist review. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel last week and would not recommend it. The duvet covers had blood stains on them, the floor was thickly covered in dust, there was no kettle to be got to heat a baby bottle. The only kettle in the hotel was at the breakfast buffet which was locked up at...

Just returned from 4 nights in Berlin at this hotel, and think we found this to be a comfortable stay in a very basic room with a German tv. We had our own bathroom which was across the corridor. Staff were always very friendly, and the cleaners kept the place, and our room, in good order. The breakfast spread was...

very friendly staff..they did the best to satisfy our requests.the location is central and just few steps from the metro. the bad point was the room. the big window facing the street could be opened just for 2 cm..so no air at all in the room. the third bed added was broken and very unconfortable.

If you're checking in late, this may not be the place for you. Our taxi struggled to find the place, as its a apparently a new hotel (in the last few years) and the night entrance is down a somewhat dark alleyway. They leave your room key in an envelope just inside the door. The room we had was on...

We DID have problems, such as the water being turned of during the day because the was a leak next door. But usually people are gone during the day and only come back in the evening. But we had a few people that needed to rest during the day (children and not-so-spring-chickens), so we were there when it was off....

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
