This is a hotel with a unique atmosphere, good service and a nice lobby bar. Our room was interesting and charming although maybe not the most practical: no sink in the toilet but outside, only one chair to sit on + the wifi didn't work...More
Rare to find a place to say that combines the comfort/design of a hotel and the socializing potential of an hoStel. MichelBerger has it all ! Expect some ambiance all day in the lobby and at the bar. And a very friendly staff.
We stayed 4 nights. Very small rooms but not cramped. We did the loft for two people. Was very cool to sleep up on the mezzanine. Some more/brighter lighting and hooks would have been useful and the wifi in room was patchy but in bar...More

When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
