Liked the location and the intimate size and interiors of the hotel, allso the nespresso machine was very convenient to have in the room (the room sizes are quite small). All in all a fairly good experience except for the woman who did the check in (out) a well behaving customer would excpect atleast normal politeness, not that constantly rude...

Many thanks for your review! I am happy that you liked my place. Regarding my host's behavior I am shocked to read your words and will of course talk to the ladies. A warm and personal service is everything and most important for us! My apologizes for this experience. I hope you give us a second chance as our service...

You enter the hotel and there is no reception but you are offered a prosecco, can sit comfortably in designer chairs or sofa and friendly staff comes to you to check you in with their tablet. The mini-bar is for free, the rooms are small but individually designed. Can't get much better, I will come back.

Great Location with easy access to urban transport, quiet an cosy rooms, free minibar and coffee, nice and modern ambience, helpful and friendly staff. Perfect for a business stay as well as sightseeing tours to Berlin. Nice, well-off upper-middle-class neighbourhood with many restaurants of different styles and price range.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sir Savigny, an entitled member of the SIR hotels family, breathes a creative spirit into the hip heart of the old West. His luxury boutique hotel is a gateway to Berlin's upscale Charlottenburg area, situated directly on the famous Savignyplatz in the City West's vibrant Art Nouveau district, with-in walking distance from the legendary Kurfurstendamm, Berlin's shopping oasis. Sir Savigny himself is a cultivated yet witty cosmopolitan culinary host for lifestyle travellers, locals and neighbours. He created the most welcoming environment with his stylish-yet-entirely-casual approach to design. Sir Savigny welcomes you in his kitchen where you can discuss the aesthetics of Fassbinder at his kitchen table, while sipping a Manhattan and enjoying a bloody delicious burger from his in-house kitchen, The Butcher. ... more   less
