The hotel was ideal for a short city break. Dirt cheap, think it worked out about £30 a night for a standard double room. Yes the rooms are small (as wide as the bed) but you can squeeze your luggage under the bed. Be aware if you are sharing a room make sure you are completely comfortable toileting and showering...

It is true that the rooms are quite small, but they are really clean and comfortable, considering the incredible low price! It is extremely well located and the staff is really gentle and helpful! I have been already in other Easyhotels (Paddington- London and Budapest) and this one, in Berlin, was definitely the best of them!

The hotel is located just around the corner from Rosenthaler Platz U-Bahn and is only a few minutes walk from Prenzlauer Berg and Häcksher Markt in either direction. The rooms are small but provided you can keep them tidy its no problem. The shower and toilet are a glass cubicle so make sure you're happy with the person you travel...

I stayed at the Easy Hotel Hackescher Markt at the beginning of October. The room reminded me of the roomettes that we used to stay in on overnight train trips, and of which I have fond memories! The room, a double, while small, was very good for 1 person, and it was very clean and tidy. Any other amenities, i.e....

Ok so this place has teeny tiny rooms but they are really really great value in a great area of Berlin. Lots of great little restaurants, bars and cafes in the area. It follows the usual Easy formula of budget prices and everything else adding extra on to the price. Incredibly clean and convenient, no charm of course. Warning though,...

easyHotel Berlin is exactly what it claims to be : a convenient, (extremely) well located, clean and cheap (yet suprisingly) comfy hotel. I've been in love with Berlin for a few years now and have been staying in good hotels in the West side and in the East side of the city but in my opinion staying in Mitte is...

I stayed at this hotel while on a business trip for a single nite. The hotel's location is perfect, very near to the subway station which easily links onto the mainline railway (SBahn). My room was a single which was not a bad size. You had to pay extra for tv etc but dont tend to watch tv when am...

Nice hotel, one subway station away from the television tower. Very clean and silent. Note that being a budget hotel the room is small, with no TV and hairdryer. these are available for a daily fee. Nice area, lots of places to eat and hang out.

When travelling on a budget this is a great place to stay. It's simple, it's clean, it's cleap and it's on a good location. The rooms aren't big but you have a good bed and bathroom. Yes, the place is pretty noisy and if you want extras you'll have to pay for them but I think it's great value anyway....

This hotel is exactly what we hoped for. Perfect location for the city with a tube station just metres from the front door. It is very clean and functional. It is what it says on the tin so bear in mind the rooms are VERY small. The space is intimate but not romantic so not really a hotel for couples...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
