We were on a stag do so booked 11 rooms for a weekend stay at the easy hotel Berlin. The arrivals procedure was simple and paid extra €5 for two days wifi for my iPad. I booked a 'small room with window' which was cosy but very well thought out. The shower and bath felt new and very clean. The...

The location of this hotel is ideal for a city break in Berlin if you're not planning to spend much time in the hotel room. We used it just as a base to keep our luggage and sleep because the room was not suited for lounging in- but we expected this. We had small room with window for 3 nights,...

Best thing about this hotel is the location. Very easy to get on the trains, and within walking distance of so many different areas! The room was small as to be expected, but clean and tidy! Bed was comfortable, but the room was very hot at night, due to the small window and not very efficient air con! Also being...

We stayed 5 nights and if you visit the city you only need a place to sleep and a shower. There is no place to put your luggage, no wardrobe, no table, nothing... just a bed. It's clean and the bed is big. If you need any extra, for example a hair-dryer you have to pay. The price is correct...

It was my first time staying at an easyhotel (as i've never heard of it before) and i was very pleased with it! Would definitely stay here again! Booked three rooms for my family and I. All rooms were very small, but quiet, very clean with comfortable beds. I preferred the twin bedded rooms as compared to the double bedded...

The location was perfect, just 2 minutes from the tube station and very close to various areas for drinking and eating. When we arrived it was very clean, but the room size is very small. But what we liked the least was the fact that you have to pay for everything in this hotel. If you arrive before the check-in time-that...

Easyhotel Berlin was a really nice surprise and I think there's no better location to stay in Berlin. The room is small, but you already knew that before booking it. The thing is that room design is so great and functional that you can't fault anything. The only thing we found weird were automatic window blinds operated by the hotel,...

We stayed in the Easyhotel for 3 nights in February, we opted for the small room with early check in and only paid 25 euros a night for 2 people. This hotel is brilliant for the price paid, it is clean, staff are helpful and know the area well. It is just up the street from the underground stop too...

This is one of the hotels in easyhotel chain and the only one so far in Berlin. I didn't know about easyhotels if I didn't accidentally run into a person mentioning them on one of the travel forums. Now, that was a discovery! Comparing to the easyhotel in London, this one is newer, opened in 2009. Also, here I had...

I can only add to the other positive compliments here: I loved it too. he main thing: location, location, location! In my opinion, this is the best location you can find in Berlin, close to the exiting areas of Hackescher Markt and Prenzlauer Berg. And in Mitte, its close to Alexanderplatz and all the sights. Yes, the room is very...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
