The hostel was a great place to stay and was really comfortable. The hostel is located in a nice area within easy reach of the train station. The lounge/kitchen area is comfortable and sharing the bathroom is no problem.

We received some instructions to do the check in through a pin code as there is no reception service and everything was fine. This is an apartment with 2 bathrooms and 7 or 8 rooms, where you can share a kitchen and dinner table too and eat some breakfast or late dinner. It is situated in a very quiet street...

I liked everything about this hostel. My expectations were really low before my stay. First, the hostel is in a good+safe neighborhood which is close to the city center (25 min) and also quiet. Grocery store, s-bahn and tram stations are in 2-3 min walk distance. Also 2 nice cafés. Our room was really big and well furnished. Just like...

We were checking in late but received very clear instructions on how to self check in. The Hostel is a 5 min walk from the S Bahn which you can get a direct S Bahn to and from the airport. It is also a couple of minutes walk to Kaisers, the supermarket. But is also situated close to other supermarkets...

This hostel was perfect for what we wanted, and it will be for you too. From the airport, take the S9 or S45 metro to Greifswalder Straße (you can buy these tickets in the airport from the ticket desk for €3.30 per person for the single journey). Exit the station and you'll see a McDonald's on your left, turn right...

Location is very good. You have a direct access from Airport Schönefeld with the S9 and less than 5 mins to walk from the station in Greifswalderstrasse to the hostel. Even if there¨s no reception the "check-in went fine". When entering you get an immediate good impression. But even if it looks nice there are a few problems. Firstly, one...

The hostel is located about 10 minutes with tram from the center and it has both trams and fasttrains very near. Its a small hostel wich gives you a homelike feeling. The room was small but had the essential - a big bed, big wardrobe, a cozy carpet and a tv. The only thing it didnt have was a mirror...

The staff was exceptionally friendly. They even let us pay later because we were having difficulties with credit cards and finding compatible ATMs. They only accept cash, which came as a shock to us. However, the hostel location was in a regular neighborhood in East Berlin, with lots of locals, and is very discreet. There isn't much to do around...

It was a very good stay in the Hostel. I payed 65euro/night which is ok for the spacious and clean appartment I had. Nadine is very helpful though I did not have the time to meet her so everything was arranged with emails and SMSs. The hostel is 300 meters from the S-Bahn Station; in order to find the road...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
