We stayed at the Hilton in Berlin for 6 nights in April with 3 other couples. We were given room 4076 which was a quiet room looking out onto an inner courtyard and not on the main road. Saying that, I don’t think the main road was a very busy road. Our room was spacious with a large comfy bed. There was a large tv which we only turn on once but they did have at least one English speaking channel which I think was Sky. The room had a room safe, iron and ironing board, kettle and was well stocked with tea and coffee sachets, a well-stocked mini bar (which we didn’t use), 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water, dressing gowns, hair dryer and complimentary slippers. There was plenty room to set down our cases and plenty of work surfaces. The room had a small desk area. The bathroom was clean and modern with plenty of room. There was a shower over the bath. Various toiletry dispensers. The nice thick towels were on a heated towel rail. Nice to see there was a complimentary shower hat (which so many hotels seem to no longer provide). The hotel has a nice bar area, lounge and a small restaurant on the ground floor. We didn’t eat in but often sat in the lounge area for drinks. Breakfast was taken on the first floor in a very large restaurant. There was a very good selection of hot and cold buffet on offer with some items cooked to order. The manager here, a lady called Leonida was very friendly and attentive and her lovely smile lit up the room. While there it was the 70th birthday of one of our friends and she made a real fuss of him and presented him with a cake. She was just lovely. All the staff, on reception, the concierge, bar staff and staff at breakfast were all very friendly and helpful. They all seemed to be happy in their jobs and endeavor to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The location of the hotel was quite good. Most places were within walking distance and there was an U-Bahn station right outside.

We have just returned following a 4 night stay in a Corner suite on a bed and breakfast basis We were originally on the 2nd floor and this corner suite has more living space, and the bathroom has a double sink, shower over bath and a separate room for the toilet We were moved after the first night to the 6th floor and this corner suite has slightly less living space due to the layout, and only one sink in the bathroom but a separate bath and shower, with toiletries (info may be helpful depending on your needs as the rooms were different in layout and amenities) We had an issue with the bed in the first room, this was kindly resolved by the manager Fabian by moving us to the 6th floor (as the technician was unable to fix it and to also allow them time to replace the bed in the 2nd floor room for other guests) We have stayed at this hotel several times and never had any concerns, the bed was broken on this occasion but the staff would have been unaware of this issue unless they happened to be sleeping in the bed! Fabian was very kind and courteous, and the issue resolved satisfactorily and promptly The rooms were clean, and well furnished and the breakfast selection more than ample We ate in the restaurant in the lobby on one occasion and the meal was good, with pleasant staff throughout the hotel We would recommend this hotel, and had a great stay For general info the Gendarmenmarkt area outside the domes opposite is undergoing construction until 2024, this did not impact on our stay (other than the view) in either noise levels or access to the hotel/ surrounding areas at all The location is great with lots of attractions, restaurants and shops in the immediate area, and only a 20 to 25 minute pleasant walk to the Alexanderplatz area

I've just stayed at the Berlin Hilton with my wife for a short break. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a base for exploring Berlin. The location is very well placed for a lot of the main sites. There is a lot to see in close proximity to the hotel, Checkpoint Charlie being the main one for me with a lot of great information about the Berlin wall. We spent most of the time walking the streets, taking in the sites rather than use the underground, however there are lots of underground stops nearby if you are not keen on walking or have more limited time to explore the wonderful city of Berlin.
The hotel is very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was the usual Hilton standard with lots of variety on offer, and even an omelette can be made to order with the awaiting chefs. Although we did not have children with us, we found the children were catered for with a small play kitchen at the childrens height stocked with fresh fruit and muffins. The reception desk also had a set of steps that helped children see what was happening at check-in, and they had some activity colouring books for children too.
The spa area was also very good, a reasonable sized pool, sauna, and steam room. A word of warning the sauna and steam room are true German style, which means nudity is required, giving you a true experience. Both the sauna and steam room were exactly how they should be with regards to temperature, and there was a pleasant warm rainfall shower, a not so pleasant cold shower, and an even worse cold dunk bucket. But these are all parts of a proper sauna/steamroom experience. The spa staff were also very helpful and obliging, which enabled the best experience possible.
I hope you enjoy Berlin as much as my wife and I did.

Paid for a suite which was quite basic and room wasn’t made up to a good standard. Wet towels left in the bathroom when we arrived. Water leaking through ceiling light fitting in the bathroom. The biggest disappointment was breakfast due to the lack of tables, and when we asked about it we were told to basically find one ourselves and the staff member then just walked off. No cutlery on the tables and left to find it ourselves. Breakfast area was woefully small for the many guests, this could be due to the upgrade work which is currently taking place. Included in the price of the room is access to the executive lounge which includes snacks and drinks, this was also very disappointing as there wasn’t any food most of the time. The check in was very good though and the staff were very helpful. The location of the hotel is very central and there is a metro station right outside, a two day travel card is around €27 each to get around central Berlin. If we were to go back to Berlin we’d most likely to stay in another hotel as we were disappointed by Hilton’s standards and we have stayed in many in different countries. Located near the hotel, is a fantastic restaurant called “BLESS” which is an Asian fusion restaurant, it had a vibrant atmosphere, good quality food and cocktails.

It is with regret that I have to leave a negative review. I had stayed in this hotel a few years ago and it seemed like an excellent property. I returned to Hilton Berlin in August for four nights and the experience was terrible. Our room on the second floor was borderline decency. From a Hilton chain I expect much more, especially given the not cheap cost of the room. The room was old, it smelled and the bathroom door was broken. The bathroom, extremely small, had some broken tiles, the shower was in the tub and only a curtain, not even glass, protected the splashes. It is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel to offer guests rooms of this type. The cleanliness left something to be desired and all the room supplies were ruined. Furthermore, I would like to point out, in the hope that this review reaches those responsible, it is inconceivable that a 4-star hotel charges two bottles of water in the room at €6 each. Even in hostels a bottle of water is offered in the room upon arrival. The television didn't work as did one of the bedside lights. I don't think I will return to this establishment again and I certainly will not recommend it to others. However, I would like to underline the education of the staff at the reception and of the kind concierge who gave us advice for visiting Berlin.

Overall, good central location and they have great water pressure. But that’s pretty much the positive I can say about the hotel. Although it’s a Hilton branded hotel, I feel it’s more a mix between Double Tree and Hampton Inn. The rooms badly needs refurbishing as they’re already showing their age. The executive lounge is too small for the size of the hotel. The breakfast is definitely an experience - it’s like a zoo or having a breakfast at a cruise ship. It’s up to the guest to find a clean table that they can use and there’s definitely some delays in cleaning the tables so they can be used by the guest. The wifi is non-existent. I have a premium wifi but I was not able to connect most times.

First time in Berlin and we stayed at the Hilton, I was really looking forward to the trip as I bought this for my boyfriend as a Christmas present and I thought the Hilton was a more luxurious option. Overall, the location itself was good and accessible, lots around and good travel options. The hotel reception is a nice area and so is the spa. Firstly, we were not informed that there was an extra charge of €14 per day to use the sauna. I was not made aware of this until we went down to use the spa. We were told that we could use the spa area and the pool but that the sauna came with an extra charge. We were also not made aware by anyone that the spa is actually a nudist spa. I am well aware that this is a cultural thing, however, I would assume that the hotel would have let us know about this. We also decided to order some food and I called room service to ask for some cutlery. I was told that if I wanted cutlery it would either be an €8 charge or “you can come and get it yourself”. We had our privacy tag on the door all weekend, but every time we returned to the room we found that someone had been in there, so it was clear that the privacy signs are pointless. In the morning on Monday we were woken up very early in the morning by loud construction works which we had no idea of. The loud noise went on for hours on end and it felt impossible to stay in the room. The whole room was vibrating and not one person had informed us that this would be going on. When I called to complain about this I was told that “I had used a lot of the mini bar” so they wouldn’t charge me for that, but we had in fact not used any of the mini bar. I was told that the best they could do was not charge us for the extra spa charge. Overall, this did not affect our trip to Berlin. However, we will not be returning to the Hilton.

Great location and very comfortable bed. And quite a breakfast, with myriad of choice from fruit to make your own omelette. The downside of this place is that it is Hilton and imports all the lack of attention to detail characteristic of Hilton in the US. The premier restaurant, ripped carpeting with chairs that done slide on the carpet. At the lift bank an area rug all frayed that poses a fall hazard. The bench in the lift bank on the 6th floor big gaping patch in the plether upholstery. The breakfast room for guests is separate from the restaurant and it is very big but again the rug and furniture is worn out. These are the kinds of things that go unnoticed in Hiltons in the US. It is a bad habit. And the so called Executive Lounge, poor choice of pm foods, all a mystery bc they have no sense to put a label on what they are serving. And once the food is gone, no replenishment. My advice, when in Europe stick to European managed properties, not contaminated with american lack of attention to detail and service.

Booked for a couple of days with family to see the city and Christmas markets. Very disappointed with the standard of service, We booked a triple room but were asked to come back in 40 mins as wasn't ready then we were moved to a double room with no explanation and they had to shove a single bed in. It obviously wasn't set up for use - nothing in mini-bar, one of the bottles of water in fridge was half full and no tea or coffee. When we complained we were just told we had a bigger room than the one we booked and that triples didn't come with all king beds. We accepted the bed situation but that wasn't the point! When we requested tea and coffee, we received a load of coffee in a plastic bag. At breakfast, we were also told they had given us a free breakfast when we had booked and paid for three people! The third person we spoke to actually apologised - which went a long way, rather than making excuses. He offered use of the lounge, which was also appreciated but the damage was done. Such a shame as the location was great and lots of good breakfast choices - although the pre-cooked breakfast items were cold. For a Hilton and the price paid, not good.

The Hilton Berlin is centrally located with a lot of potential, but the experience left me underwhelmed, especially for a five-star property.
The room was of decent size but showed signs of aging. The toilet was particularly small, and the flush required holding down the flush button to work properly—a bit of an inconvenience. Amenities were not provided in the bathroom unless specifically requested, which felt like an odd cost-saving measure for a hotel of this category.
As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I was disappointed by the lack of recognition. There was no complimentary room upgrade (perhaps the hotel was fully booked), and no welcome gift unless the extra bottle of water in the room counts. When I requested additional complimentary water, I was told only one bottle is provided—this felt extremely stingy for a property that markets itself as luxurious.
That said, the breakfast buffet was a major highlight and possibly the best I’ve encountered in any Hilton property worldwide. The variety, quality, and freshness of the food were impeccable and made the mornings memorable.
Overall, while the breakfast was exceptional, the service and attention to detail did not meet the expectations of a five-star property. Some improvements in guest recognition and basic amenities could make this a much better experience.
