The Ibis is part of the Accor group. This particular property is located in the Mitte area of Berlin--very central to all major tourist attractions in Berlin. Some of the rooms are decorated in a funky style, but having said that, the rooms are fully...More
The hotel is a little bit differently decorated than the plain Ibis ones. Room not very large but ok . Weird to have a shower with glass door and in front if the mirror especially if you are not a couple sharing the room.
The location of the hotel is preety good. However, if you are coming by car chances are that the parking garage is full and you need to park in a side street. Takes around 5-10 minutes to walk back to the hotel. Not the most...More
Couldn't be happier with my stay! The location is perfect. Everything you need right downstairs. Walking distance to most anything, trains at the front entrance. The hotel itself is super comfortable, accommodating, and clean. Great breakfast. Awesome staff. Pet friendly. The room and bed were...More
We booked an interconnected family suit (2 room). From the moment we checked in, it was perfect. The hotel is bright, modern and airy. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They have lots for kids just in reception. And jelly frogs! What more do...More

The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

The rooms have en-suite bathroom which had a solid closing door. The bathroom consisted a toilet, wash basin and shower cubicle, which had a frosted glass door. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Depending on the age of your children, I would suggest contacting the hotel and asking about family rooms. The staff all speak very good English and will offer you a warm welcome. Enjoy Berlin & if your children are young, then consider a day visit to the Berlin Zoo. Travel around the city is easy & my best option would be to use the fantastic U-ban (underground). Look into purchasing family tickets and the options available.
