best breakfast, gentle staff, old building but with a sense of luxury. Big rooms, hot water, poor wi fi. Near zoo and bus, u bahn, s bahn central station. Near the market with many merchant stores and variety of restaurants, bars and cafes
It is so important to have a good night´s sleep when you are in a new place. The Savoy Hotel Berlin gave me this.

From my experience - using the train on my way from the airport to the hotel and a taxi from the hotel to the airport, I could only add that taxi is more comfortable way of transportation - and it is not super expensive - The cost was 30 EUR, if I recall well.
