Minuses: Pillows and towels are too old (especially towels, seems like they as old, as my grandmother), poor breakfast, not enough for 4* hotel. Plusses: Location, service, comfortable bed, a lot of light spots in a room.

We stayed for three nights at the Berlin Mark Hotel, travelling from the airport(Schoenefeld ) was extremely easy, taking the RB14 train direction Nauen and alight at the Zoologishegarten Station, the cost is 3.30 euro each, single journey ABC ticket, and don't forget to validate your ticket either next to the machine or on the platform as being a apparently...

This was our 2nd visit to the Berlin Mark this year- travelled with my mum and aunt this time.. love the location of this hotel- it's hard to beat- quiet, safe street but 3 minutes walk from bustling main shopping area- 3 or 4 lovely restaurants right on the door step- Lidl right next door for water etc- we had...

Nice hotel, although I must admit it doesnt quite live up to the 4 stars. Location could not be better, cleanliness also fine. The rooms though were very outdated, tiny not working tv which was placed opposite the bed so it could not be seen. Furthermore, the lamp had fallen out of its place. But overall the location made up...

The location is ideal at the center of Berlin, breakfast is good but a bit expensive, staff is polite but when it comes to a 4 star hotel I would say 3 max since the hotel needs lots of details to be fixed, broken mirrors etc and the rooms defently need renovation from the start but still is a medium...

I did not get my room until 4.30pm (instead of the promised 3pm). When I asked if I could keep my room until 1.30pm on the day of the departure they said it will cost an extra 10€ per hour. Okay, I said, where can I send you an invoice for the 90 minute delay on the first day. The...

This hotel needs a full refit to meet the aquirements they advertise on their website. The lift is far too slow and all the walls and the carpets need survey and replacement, so is the electrical installation since lights once work and another time fail. Apart from the splendid spot in the city-centre this hotel does not meet their standard....

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
