Just 4 stops from the centre on the express bus, this hotel is in a nice location and handy for restaurants of all types. Also convenient bar on the corner. The hotel doesn't have it's own restaurant or bar, although you can buy an alcoholic drink from reception. The building is in an older area of the city, being named...

After seeing some of the reviews about small rooms/bathrooms we were a little leery about our night here. We had booked a room for two. Our room had a large double bed, two separate single beds, a couch that folded out to another double bed, AND a large wall cabinet with two fold down beds. If our math is right,...

The hotel was good except for the fact there was no air conditioning anywhere in the hotel, nor were there fans available (the limited number available had been taken). This meant it was very uncomfortable whenever you were in your room, and was almost impossible to get any sleep. The wifi had to be paid for, but it was a...

We spent 3 nights here in June. First impressions are not great but its actually a nice old building with a lot of character especially in the breakfast room. The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice for a relatively small hotel. We arrived at 9am and were given a room immediately, however this was very small and really was...

We spent 3 nights here in June, and it was perfect! The ease of getting there on the TXL bus, or from the city center was so helpful. Yes, the hotel is old, but nicely taken care of, and the building is quite nice. We had room 16, a triple, and it was huge, as was the bathroom. Breakfast had...

Unimposing frontage in a pre-war building, you could easily miss it.Friendly and helpful reception staff speak perfect English, but reception and public areas a bit dingey and dated. The lift only holds 2 people. Breakfast in a small crowded room on the 1st floor, but a very good selection of continental breakfast. My single room very small but clean, with a single...

This was our 3rd time staying in this hotel; it`s almost become like an old friend ! Us and a fair few pals returned.here for a Queens Of The Stone Age gig at Zitadelle. The 1st and 2nd times were also for the same reason, and it has become an essential part of the whole trip. The staff are.very accommodating,...

Stayed here for 3 nights, and found it a great base. Our room wasn't the biggest, but as we arrived several hours before check in time we were delighted to be given a room immediately. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, and the owner himself is a delight. Breakfast is a definite highlight, a fantastic spread...

It is a small, old facility, but still in good shape. Contrary to what you read at their website, it is 5 stops from Tegel airport on the TXL bus (then a few meters walk). Very friendly checkin staff, traditional key to the rooms (there is one elevator). The room is quite simple and small (I stayed for one night...

stayed 2 night in this friendly hotel a little off the beaten track but bus stops outside and about a 10 euro taxi ride to the center of berlin.Room rather basic but clean and adequate but walls are paper thin which meant lack of sleep due to noisy next room. Breakfast was excellent with very large choice and well presented.

Thank piatro

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
