We stayed in January 2014, Hotel is excellent, rooms spotless, beds comfortable, there were robes and slippers in the rooms to make visiting the pool and sauna easy. Be warned the saunas are mixed and many people choose to use them au natural. The staff were very helpful and recommended a number of good restaurants. Breakfast (we booked with a... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in November 2013 but I never got round to putting a review on at the time. We had a fantastic time at this hotel during our christmas break to Berlin. It did not disappoint. Right next to the train station. Within walking distance of most attractions. Clean, spacious room. Amazing shower. The... More

I stayed two nights at this hotel during the week of January 13, 2014. I was on a business trip. What I liked about the hotel: 1. Convenience, convenience, convenience! Berlin is a sprawling city, and this hotel is at a major public transportation stop (Friederichstrasse Bahnhof) and near many, many attractions. 2. It's easy to get to from public... More

We stay the hotel for four nights. The room is big and clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly. Our family love the rich breakfast buffet, fresh and delicous. Great place to stay! Will come back again.

The hotel was great. The room was comfortable and quite large, the reception nice and friendly. The location is very central, within the walking distance from many attractions. It is also close to the station and has an easy access from the airport - one train, 4 stops around 30 minutes. We did not order breakfast, as at 16Euros it... More

The reception staff are fantastic as well as the bar staff. Housekeeping just needs to pay attention to refilling teas and creamers everyday (we were their 6 days and they kept on forgetting to refill or just giving us a selection of herbal teas). Otherwise they have a lovely pool and sauna facilities. Their breakfast was also pretty good but... More

This elegant hotel is four blocks from Unter den linden about 100 yards from the Friedrichstrasse U-Bahn station. The hotel is well-insulated so there is no problem with train noise, but there is the convenience of public transportation to the Hauptbahnhof and more distant points in Berlin. The hotel was tricky to find on my first visit because although the... More

A great stay in a great hotel only regret was getting in so late. Having traveled in via ICE Rail it was easy to access via taxi even easier were I to have caught the train. Would happily stay here again. Only downsides were not having sufficient time to use all facilities on offer of which there were many. Regards,

The hotel is located two minutes from an U and S Bahn station. But no noise in the room from the trains. Walking distance to Unter den Linden and the Museum Insel. Frienly staff, very helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very good price-value relationship! On my next trip to Berlin, we will stay most probably in this hotel again.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
