We really enjoied our stay. Beautiful hotel with nice staff and good service. Breakfast was very good and rooms were nice and clean. We have never stayed at a hotel that nice and we sure paid for it but it was really worth it.

Stayed here for three nights recently. Highlights included 1. Great bed 2. Lovely room overlooking alexanderplatz 3. Friendly and accommodating staff 4. Nice foyer & ambience 5. Delicious breakfast 6. Lovely spa. Oh yes and a very good location particularly if you like museums.

Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
From Tegel airport, take the TXL bus to Spandauer Strasse/Marienkirche (20 to 30 minutes ride, no need to change bus). Cross the street an walk back in the direction you came from for about 300 meters.
Taxis are readily available, not sure about shuttles. We got the train from schonenfield airport to Alexanderplatz station which was 1 straight train and a little walk and it only cost about €3.50 each way!
