I stayed in 6-Bed Mixed Dormitory Room. Hostel was really clean, staff very helpful. Internet is not free, you have to pay 1 euro for 24 hours, but it works perfectly. Location is just 2 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. I would highly recommend this hostel to everyone.

Stayed here only one night with 4 more friend. Nice place for young people. Great price. Good location, next to the main train station and walking distance from the main city attractions. Nice bags stored facility, we checked out from the hotel but left our luggage there since our flight was only in the evening.

Great spot if you're just going for tourism with a few friends. Not so much for big groups looking to go on nights out and who are partying like on other youth hostels. Staff are very very nice though and understanding.

Very cheap. Decent beds and pleasant staff. Location is excellent close to bars, restaurants and train station. Free WiFi in rooms if signed in via Facebook. Showers were cold one day. Toilet roll was very poor.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights in December 2015. The reception staff were very friendly, although there was a different person most the time each of them were very welcoming, offering to have our bags stored in the luggage room until check in and helping with any questions we had. When my friend was ill, and I...

The rooms felt dirty and there was lots of noise from the street. The internet cost for each day used and was very slow. It's location was close to Central Berlin. The price was slightly more than other hostels we compared and we were very disappointed.

A good hostel, great localization and nest to transport (Alexander Platz station). the ambiance is calm and i find good and outgoing people there. It is clean and the roons are good as well. Have a really good Beergarden in the nest corner.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

“If you have the option is staying in a room with less people in I would go for that. 8 people in one of the small rooms wasn't too pleasant, and you've more chance of having access to plug sockets and storage space in a less-populated room there.”
