This is a very good hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed however, the only possible downside would be the open bathrooms. There is a very good buffet breakfast ranging from cereals to a cooked option. There is a comfortable bar area serving an excellent range of drinks. The only reason this hotel scores 4 stars instead of 5 is because... More

Unfortunately I had to stay at the hotel for 3 nights (working trip). The rooms were ok (if you disregard the transparent shower), however I was really disappointed by the staff of the hotel. It was probably the rudest staff I've ever dealt with. - The reception staff was very slow and rude during checkin, (even cussing in German) -... More

Located right on Alexanderplatz and with great views of the city. The rooms are quite small but well designed. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Only downside was no free wifi, something you come to expect in most hotels. the staff were helpful and friendly apart from a snotty and rude male waiter in the bar.

A nice hotel and well located for most of the interesting sites. Rooms are comfortable, although the toilet door shuts but doesn't seal. Bath and sink are open plan, although, there is a courtesy curtain. It was very cold outside, but I found the room really hot, even after turning the stat right down. Breakfast was really good and on... More

We stayed here for four nights. We had requested a room by a lift & was given what we asked for. Our room was comfortable although we did find the toilet & bathroom oddly situated. We ate dinner once in Spagos. It was ok. Nothing special. The hotel was situated in a great spot right outside the Alexanderplatz Xmas market.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
