Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz Hotel offers a unique experience, with its central location earning praise for easy access to transport and attractions. However, opinions on the hotel's atmosphere are divided; while some guests appreciate the comfort, others are put off by the noise and odd furnishings. Room cleanliness is generally upheld, but space constraints and maintenance issues are drawbacks. Service is recognized as professional, yet inconsistencies with responsiveness mar the experience. Additionally, the extra fees for services often expected to be free cast a shadow on the hotel's overall value.

Let's start with the location. Its central and close to the station and main square. Check in, no problems whatsoever, however one of the key cards didn't work and that led to problems for breakfast on the 1st morning. ' computer says no, you haven't got breakfast included '. Replacement card obtained and miraculously breakfast was now included. No apology, just it's the computers fault. The room on the 31st floor offered a very good view. It was a superior double. Well it was actually 2 singles pushed together with bizarrely 2 single duvets as well. The pillows were definitely the worst I've ever had with no option for any more. Others mention the bottles of water, but for 3 nights we got just the one bottle between 2 of us. That's one in total. Now we're a couple so it's not an issue but the rooms shower and toilet situation may be a problem with newly acquainted friends. There's no privacy in the toilet/ shower department. Breakfast was probably better than expected because it was definitely more than the standard continental option. Massive plus from the missus, the cocktails were the best she'd had. Would we stay again? It's a no and we would probably look at one of the numerous motel ones in the same area.

A decidedly mediocre hotel. Pillows are awful, no AC, and wifi is weak and unreliable. Found only a couple of nice dinner restaurants nearby and area is not attractive. It has a location near a major railbus station, breakfast is okay and staff are helpful. Bar is open fairly late and taxis are available right outside.

Stayed here early April for 3 nights. Hotel is huge and foyer is frantically busy. Check in was slow - so many forms to fill in ! Older guy with grey hair checked me in. Not particularly friendly but efficient. Liked to have his forms filled correctly in duplicate it seemed. My room was on 13th floor. It was a single room no bigger than a cruise ship inside cabin. It was tiny. Clean but tiny. The bathroom situation was odd. Toilet and shower were separate but both see through. Glad I was on my own so no one could see me do my business. I couldn't get the heating to work and the safe wouldn't lock. Duvet was thin and pillows lumpy. Best thing about hotel was location. Everything else was very average. Certainly not a 4 star.

My stay was 9th-10th April 2024 Pros:: Location is great, Room clean & tidy, Fast lift to high floors. Cons:: Waited over 20 minutes to check in, lots of staff not dealing with public on reception. Very poor wifi (when on business good wifi is essential. Tv stations kept going off with message (NO SIGNAL) Breakfast was average to say the least.

Location was excellent. Two minute walk from the station straight from the airport on the RE8 train. I emailed before asking for a room on a high floor for a view. I had a room on 30th floor with lovely view (opposite direction to tv tower). Checkin was easy and quick. Lifts were never an issues. I stayed three nights. The first morning I went to the main breakfast room which was very very busy! Day 2 I was directed to overflow breakfast room on second floor which was much quieter and nicer atmosphere. Was the room perfect? No! I could hear people in the corridor and room next door laughing. However, the bed was comfy (strangely two single duvets for a double bed!) and location was excellent. Big bus tour is directly opposite the hotel via the crossing and is well worth it! I would happily stay here again.

Fantastic hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rebook! The location is fantastic, the staff nice and rooms clean and good size. The bathroom situation is a bit quirky but it did not bother us at all. I would recommend this hotel for everyone coming to Berlin.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in total. Very well situated for the metro, tube and major places to visit in Berlin. Overall very good experience apart from we were charged for leaving luggage arrived early morning and couldn’t check in till mid afternoon. Additionally the lift was a little temperamental as at times wouldn’t let you press your floor unless you used the room card. It would have been helpful if instructions had been left re use of coffee machine and an alternative such as tea had been offered in rooms too.

Perfect location in the very city center. I had a corner room and, thus, a stunning panorama view over the whole Berlin from two sides. Service was quick and friendly, the room clean and modern, breakfast offered a good variety of sweet and sour options.

My wife and I travelled to Berlin to mark our wedding anniversary. Our flight had us into Berlin a lot earlier than check in so we planned to leave the bags into the luggage room and go explore the city. We went to ask about access to the luggage room and met Adrian, our lovely friendly hotel receptionist. Well, to say he was excellent and went above and beyond is an understatement. I don't think I have ever shook the hand of a hotel receptionist before after checking in but such was Adrian's excellence in assisting us I nearly jumped over the counter to hug him. He went to check if our room was available. During my booking, some months back I happened to note that it would be our wedding anniversary but I had actually forgotten I had even mention it. Adrian offered us an upgrade to a room on one of the higher floors with a view of the Berlin Radio Tower. When we got to our room we were so impressed by the view that we nearly didn't feel the need to visit the viewing deck of the radio tower. Even if you don't get a room with a view of Alexanderplatz or the radio tower, there is a viewing deck on the roof for a nominal fee. It's not the highest view in the city, but it is pretty close to the highest and includes the radio tower in the view so may be a better option for keen photographers. Adrian also convinced us to add the continental breakfast to our booking. That was great advice as the breakfast offered something for everyone with a buffet of hot foods, breads, cereals, pancakes, fruits, juices and coffees etc. We had our fill each morning and it set us up for day exploring the city. Adrian gave us some recommendations on where he liked to eat, grab a drink etc and really just gave us a great 1st impression of the Hotel, the city and the whole country. He mentioned that he was getting married soon, so Adrian, if you read this... best of luck with everything. If you put as much effort into your marriage as you do at work, you'll be happily married for a long time. (PS, Ive left the same review on the site where I booked the hotel, the least I could do to mark the excellent service I received.)
