Excellent bed, but the pillows were tiny and flat. We asked for more and they kindly accommodated. The bathroom floor was never washed (we were here for 5 days) which we did not appreciate. The rate was good, but they charged a ridiculous amount for wifi. I found that to be unacceptable and told them so. Simply based on the...

Superb view. Because of its sheer size it lacks a little character, but the rooms are nice and clean and the beds are excellent. The location is very good for exploring the city, near an important train and subway hub and on walking distance from the Reichstag, The Brandenburger Tor etc.

Park Inn Radisson is centrally situated in Berlin - the underground and main train station are opposite the hotel just across the square. We took a taxi from Schönefeld Airport - it cost €33 although the train service is very efficient and cheap. The square at the back of the hotel was a hive of activity when we were there,...

This was a trip with my parents to see Berlin for 3 nights - we booked via Lastminute and got a great rate and Alexanderplatz is a 5-10min walk from the Reichstag and the 'centre' of Berlin, but this was great as it was less crowded and there were smaller, less touristy places to see. We requested 2 rooms together,...

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of an organised tour, so no choice in hotel. We arrived at lunchtime and luckily our rooms were all ready for us - good to check in after an early flight to freshen up etc. Our room was on the 29th floor, facing the TV tower, with panoramic views (if there was a...

The rooms are absolutely nice and worth the price (as we got a discount), the view is pleasant, facilities are also good inside the room. HOWEVER, the service of the hotel is really poor. Every time when I dialed to the reception, their attitude is really rude and bad, and are not willing to help me. One of them (I...

We booked this hotel with a discount: 80 euro per night for 4 nights and for this price the hotel was okay. I don't know why this hotel is 4 stars though. The first room on the 20th floor (no view of A-Platz) we got was right by the elevators. This meant that we heard a high whining noise 24/7....

Great location within easy walk of all main attractions. The main tourist bus stops outside and you are within an easy walk of boats. This is not a 4* hotel, it is a City centre 3*. Rooms are very small with the bath room area (shower no bath) as part of the main bedroom with a curtain around it for...

If you are visiting Berlin, you may prefer a hotel with a staff no burdened with clients. I arrived from the USA early in the morning, I stopped at the front desk to ask when rooms might be ready. I was not greeted, not asked for my name nor if I had a reservation. The woman at the desk handed...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
