We stayed here a few days before Christmas and found the location to be fantastic. Alexanderplatz hosts a christmas market on the square outside the hotel serving all kinds of food, drink and gifts, perfect for the season. The nearby metro station serves all rail and travel needs so no hauling suitcases halfway around Berlin! We paid for a panoramic... More

I chose the The Park Inn on Alexanderplatz because I wanted to be close to the Oktoberfest tent and I wasn't disappointed. The rooms came in surprisingly cheap and location wise you're within a couple of minutes of all major public transport options. The room was spotlessly clean and quite well sized and had a great view of the comms... More

The hotel has a great location if you visit Berlin to do some sight seeing. Basicly just outside the hotel you find U-Bahn, S-Bahn, busses and trams. When arriving at the hotel there was a long line for check-in. Not what I want when traveling for a day. Also the women who helped us checking-in gave us wrong information about... More

I must admit I was dubious in staying in such a large hotel especially on arrival we were told they were fully booked. However this was followed by the words free upgrade to a remodelled room. On floor 33 with super speedy lifts we opened the door to a stunning view over East Berlin as far as the eye could... More

We stayed here at the Park inn for a long weekend and I'm glad we chose this hotel. While the rooms are small they are very comfortable and clean, we called down for extra pillows and they were brought very quickly . It is a bit weird having the toilet in the same room behind frosted glass so I wouldn't... More

Great Hotel, well placed for attractions around Berlin with excellent travel options to see the various places around the city. Having travelled with a group we probably had standard accoomodation. Toilet/shower enclosed in glass screen in the room not becoming of a 4 star hotel. Beautiful view of the city and surprisingly quiet. Excellent brakfast and a la carte dinner.... More

The Park Inn is a good hotel in a good location. Being part of the Radisson company you know more or less what to expect in terms of international quality. Ho-we-ver... no wifi. Well... yes wifi at 6€ per hour. You would expect more with their rates. Rooms are ok, most of them with a view and breakfast is quite... More

I have stayed here a few times. It's convenient for the metro system, the food and beer are both good, and the rooms are comfortable. The place is pretty modern, with minimalist furnishings. The views are great from the upper floors. The internet is fast. It's certainly not characterful, but it's excellent value and very comfortable.

Hello, the hotel was in good location. But too expensive for its quality - not 4 star quality - small rooms with awful glass wall in the shower and toilett was in the wardrobe-> not confortable. We stayed four (4) nights without changing the sheets in our bed ! Is that 4 stars hotel procedure ? Cleaning of the drinking... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
