I stayed in the hotel for 5 days/4 nights and I don't regret my decision at all. Although my room was quite small and the room (106) was maybe not the cleanest I ever slept in, this hotel offers very good value for money. First and probably most important of all, the location is excellent. Close to public transport and...

This was my tenth visit to the Air in Berlin Hotel which should indicate how much I think of it!. I have visited the hotel with my sister, son, nephew and daughter and not once have we been disappointed. Once again the core value of the hotel is its fabulous location together with the friendly and helpful staff who cope...

The hotel is located in the vincinty of quite interesting touristic location, like Kurfürstendamm with "Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche" The rooms are a bit older but clean and still quite ok for the price. A nice Thai reataurant next door is quote good. Cor my business trip it was a perfect choice.

The Hotel is in a very good location, with lots of restaurants, shopping, bus stops and train station all within 5 minutes walk distance. The staff are very friendly and all speak English fluently. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is abundant and is served from 7:00am so if you have an early start you will always...

We were in Berlin to visit friends and this hotel was recommended to us as it was in the right part of town. In fact, it was something like 10 minutes from our friends. We had booked one of the larger double rooms and mentioned we were not in our first Y youth. We got one of the larger rooms,...

Dear Sir or Madam, many thanks for your great review. We always give a lot of effort to make it like for our guests. My colleague at the reception is almost always very kind and competent. She is currently expecting a baby and she was perhaps not as good that days. We apologize and ask for understanding. A.Schernau

The hallways and stairway with original banister are extremely spacious, with old furniture and dried flowers stuck in vases and fake plants. The modern elevator was added to the outside of the building so it meets the stairs a half floor from the actual floors. Then you open the door to your room and are in a different world. From...

It was our first trip with our baby. I was very afraid after I read the reviews and I must say most of them very right. Summary: An old building with a renovated interior. Areas of improvement: the elevator and the attitude of the receptionists. Good points- superior room was quite spacious according to european standards with enough closet space...

This hotel is in a renovated old building. My room is clean but very small. The bed is very narrow and short. I liked this hotel overall but absolutely hated the stupid square-shaped large pillow. The hotel is very nice - placed very near KaDeWe and Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche and nearest U-bahn is Wittenberger Platz (100 m). The hotel has its own private parking place in a very calm and relaxed neighbourhood. Nice interior, warm water, wonderful beds - but no shampoo and bodycreme. There is lift, but you have to use the stairs anyway. But.... slow...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
