Actually not really on Alexander Platz but a fair walk away....staff not really friendly at the front desk and particularly not smiling...they have a policy of charging you in advance on your credit card your entire stay...rooms are fair but really reduced to the essentials and bathrooms are not comfortable....good vast breakfast and expendive wifi.

Just returned from a very pleasant stay at NH Berlin Alexanderplatz. Yes, its a couple of tram stops from Alexanderplatz square but not a problem as the trams were very frequent. Unfortunately the first few days of our stay, the tram line up to the hotel was shut due to some works going on which made things a bit difficult...

I staid in this hotel for a conference, which took place on the premises. The room was nice and large. Very functional and comfortable room. The mattress was one of the best I have had in a hotel and I am a very difficult sleeper. The room was also quiet, maybe because it was on the back of the hotel....

Not very memorable, which is probably good, because it means it can't have been too annoying in any major respect. Stayed 3 nights on business and as is so often the case with business travel it's all a bit of a blur now. There did seem to be a bit of a running theme with one or other of the...

Located 30 min walk from Alexanderplatz, in quiet area, near a nice park. Tram is the best way to get into city centre and tickets are sold in the hotel and in the tram itself. For this last you need coins. Good rooms, Wifi only free in the lobby, good Sauna.

Stayed here 3 nights on a business trip: decent hotel with adequate rooms and a good service. The Downside: Took the train from the Airport to Alexanderplatz thinking it would be close by … after 15 min of asking around was finally told the hotel is 3 tram stops from the place (have no idea why on earth they would...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
