Stayed here for four nights as part of a city break. Overall , this was very good. My room was comfortable, clean, quiet and spacious. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. In terms of location, Berlin is a big city so it depends what you are looking for, but this is with easy walking distance of Berlin Wall , Checkpoint Charlie (obviously as per the name) , Brandenberg Gate etc. Generally, Berlin is well serviced with public transport. You are close to main roads and so there are local amenities easily available. Couple of minor negative points: The room was advertised as being a double room but the bed was two singles pushed together. I appreciate other hotels do this, but this was difficult to use as double because it had bed sheets for two single beds and you would need to move between them. Also there was quite a big dip between the beds. I paid for breakfast separately, cost was 25euros. I thought this was a little overpriced. Cooked part of the breakfast in particular was limited in choice and wasnt particularly warm. However, overall I would come back here.

We have had a wonderful stay here over the last 3 nights, there is not one fault I have found during our stay. The lobby area is lovely, really modern and always has a staff member available should you need any assistance. We've used the bar a few times over our stay and the staff have been so helpful, advised us on what beers to try and really friendly and welcoming after a long day walking around Berlin. Our room was on the second floor, I was worried at first because we were right opposite the lift however, this has not bothered us once, we've not heard it and it's been really useful to be near to it. The room was really big, separate toilet to the main bathroom and a walk in wardrobe with free use of the safe, this has been a great feature to our stay. We've also liked the use of the balcony, even though it has been really cold outside. The cleanliness has been immaculate throughout our stay, thank you all so much for a lovely, relaxing time, we will book here again when we next visit Berlin.

I needed 7 rooms for myself and my friends for a long weekend in Berlin and this hotel did not disappoint. Rooms are very large, clean and quite. The staff were professional and friendly. Reception staff could not do enough for me and my friends including us all arriving at 11pm and organising taxis to the airport at 07:30 as we left. The bar staff were very attentive and friendly. If you are looking for a centrally located hotel for a weekend to remember, I highly recommend this hotel. We are already planning a return trip and will be staying at this hotel.

How can the staff (possibly management) at check in who tell you they serve food at the bar until midnight, not know that the bar stops serving food at 10pm when the bar is literally the other side of the wall? I5 yards away maybe? Inform them at the front desk about their error, one you've waited patiently at the bar for, browsing a menu for the last 15 minutes, and you'll find a look of surprise, followed by a lecture about how the bar doesn't serve food after 10pm, everything but SORRY. And who doesn't even serve so much as a bag of nuts/crisps at a bar after 10pm anyway? Zero. Nothing. Nada. Zip ! 2nd time here. And Last.

Excellent 2 night stay. Very spacious room with complimentary drinks and snacks on arrival. Bed lovely and comfortable. Initially sofa bed was not made up but quickly rectified by housekeeping. Breakfast selection very nice and staff friendly. Hotel location excellent for the underground. We would rebook without hesitation.

We stayed three couples with one kid each in three rooms. Total cost was 2k USD reserved 2.5 prior to arrival. A day after checking in they told us that one of the rooms had only two people instead of three and that we had to pay an extra 40 bucks per day for the extra person. We talk to management and explained that this was obviously a mistake by the system because we obviously already had check in and it was fines. They refused and literally told us that we had to paid this extra fee, period.

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the city. First impressions the reception staff are average, not overly friendly or helpful just there to check you in/out. I stayed on the 6th floor in a corner room over looking the court yard. The room layout is strange with a desk/tv in the middle of the room, a wardrobe, fridge, kettle etc. Beds ok was a double but two twins as a solo travellers this wasn’t an issue. My biggest problem with my start/room is how dark it was all the time - please consider a centre light. The bathroom was modern and had all I needed. The room was clean. I also liked the running map on a lanyard it was a nice touch. I didn’t have breakfast as there are lots of coffee shops in walking distance and in general the location is great 2 mins from Checkpoint Charlie and a few mins walk to Stadtmitte station which goes to Alexander Platz direct to airport. The bar area in the hotel was really nice too and bar man always said hello when i passed through.

We originally booked the superior apartment but just before our stay they emailed to say it was not available anymore, not sure why so we then selected a privilege room, this was a lovely large room complete with desk and sofa and chairs, it also had a seperate toilet from the shower which is always great. Nice location just around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie. The breakfast was wonderful with a large selection of food, but there is no restaurant as such, although in the evenings they do open up the bar which does offer drinks and pizza which was nice, great service from the gentleman who run it. There are also a couple of supermarkets and restuarants around as well. Great location, great hotel. Recommend

Very NOT RECOMMENDATION HOTEL!! This hotel will casually cancel our booking at their hotel, easily offer us a refund, and move us to another hotel whose price is not comparable to this hotel and the location is not suitable for our booking, I ended up not staying at this hotel, However, in the Agoda application the hotel name is not changed, be careful when booking at this hotel, it is very unprofessional!! Bad attitude hotel!!

Dear irdadolix, We would like to point out that we have nothing to do with your booking through Agoda and have no influence on it. Therefore, it is not fair to link these problems with a criticism of our hotel, especially since you were not our guest. Best regards, Jessica Matschke, General Manager

First off the good bits - reception staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally located and close to all the good underground lines for site seeing. The room was very clean. The bad bit - we booked a family room and it was nothing like the room we received (we were in 106), it was on two levels with no wall between for noise. The bed which was downstairs was just that a bed, no bedside tables or wardrobe, upstairs the wardrobe was really small with three coat hangers and the other wardrobe was weirdly locked, we ended up living out of suitcases. The bathroom was in no way vip either. It really did not feel like a four star in the downstairs area or bathrooms. The breakfast was expensive we had it one morning and I was disgusted that kids were putting the serving utensils in their mouths and brushing their hair with them, and then back on the sides, in view of the staff and they were not changed, I did not get a Second plate of food after that so it cost me €24 for a cup of tea, scambled eggs and two pancakes.
