Comfortable, spacious rooms. Comfortable beds with their own light and power point (inside a small locker). Friendly 24/7 staff, great common area and cool bar in the basement. Great cafe, buffet breakfast is yummy and good value. Cool area, lots of cafes and well connected, subway station right in front of the hostel.

The staff were super friendly and were amazing at sorting out any issues during our stay! The location is good and we walked everywhere as it is nice to see lots of different parts of Berlin. When we checked in, we were informed of the best places to visit and were given a map to help us on our way....

I stayed here for 5 nights in a private room, was really good value for money - spacious, light, comfy beds. They have a cafe with cheap breakfast, which made it really easy to grab something to eat in the morning, and they do lunch too which I tried and is really nice. The staff are super friendly and they...

This was the first hostel I had ever stayed in. The hostel is located 2 metro stops from Alexanderplatz (i'm sure you can walk it too) - therefore the location was superb. Check in was smooth. The rooms were clean, with a place to put your belongings next to your bed. Towels were, however, not provided. There is a fee...

One evening there was alot of banging all night from the back of the hostel which im not really sure what it was but that...

Upon arrival we discovered we were in a 10 man dorm which we were not keen on. The hostel staff were extremely helpful and allowed us to upgrade to a smaller sized room which we were extremely grateful for. The hostel itself is very clean and perfectly located. Buffet breakfast was very reasonably priced and had a good selection. Would...

We are relatively new to the whole hostel experience but it was more than enjoyable for us. Our check-in was seamless and the rooms were quite spacious and had a little sitting area. There was free wi-fi all through the hostel and the 5 euro all you can eat breakfast was tasty and saved time when we wanted to get...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
