The hostel is in a very comfortable position, relatively close to alexanderplatz and to fancy neighborhoods- like kreuzberg and freidrichscheine. The hostel is quite clean but the rooms, kitchen and living room are poor and squallid. The toilet in the 6 bed-rooms is particularly annoying. Nevertheless, the price is convinient and the overall conditions acceptable. Nice receptionists.

The hostel is in a comfortable area of Berlin, close to Kreuzberg and Friedrichschain. The price is good but rooms are quite dirty (the toilet very stinky) and the entrance of the hostel is very stinky, as well as the kitchen. The employees are very nice.

I stayed 4 nights in a double ensuite room, and I really thought that it was a good solution if you are not looking for something fancy. It is located 2 metro stops away from Alexanderplatz, there is a supermarket in front of the building and some cafe'/restaurants in the area, although it is surely not the most lively area...

If you want to be STOLEN come here! The security in the hostel it's a joke and if something happen to your things,NOBODY responds,so you pay for nothing, the breakfast is expensive and the quality of the rooms and beds are also poor,so the price doesn't worth. THE WORST HOSTEL EVER!

It is a quiet cheap place, that is true. No more positives. The crew don't care at all. Standard is really low. All the time kids play and shout. I think they live nearby and their parents are the owners. There is no WIFI in rooms and the one at reception is bad. It is not worth to come.

This hotel is the cheapest I have found in Berlin and was a bit surprised how much it was worth it to book here. The room and sheets are quite clean , having the sheets at a perfect shade-less white colour. Nothing to complain from the toilets and showers , they serve there purpose and are clean , we personally...

The staff was very friendly, the room&toilet clean (the latter a bit cold though). The building probably used to be a school as the inside looks like this. We had one unpleasant experience during the night - we came at 3am and there was just one bed left (someone sneaked in for free with a friend who paid for one...

The hostel was OK. We stayed here with a study trip and not all of the rooms were that nice. Sometimes there were holes in the walls but besides that it was OK. The rooms were clean with but the bathrooms and showers smelled a bit weird. The staff was very friendly. The centre is easy accesible by taking the...

Good location, just a few minutes from train station 'Ostbahnhof', underground also close. Room was clean, beds are hard. Good for people with a tighter budget. Breakfast was not spectacular but OK. The coffee was very good. Nice area for sitting in the back outside. Had a room facing the street, too loud to sleep with Windows open. With Windows...

A great hostel, where you can stay when visiting Berlin. Very close to the center of the city. The team was very polite and everything in the room was very clean. And has a great garden where you can drink a beer and meet al lot of people. The food there was also very good. Will definitely go back there.

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.

Pegasus Hostel Berlin: experience authentic Berlin atmosphere Since its opening in 2001, Pegasus Hostel has inspired its' guests with an authentic, warm Berlin atmosphere. Previously a girls' only boarding school a hundred years ago, Pegasus Hostel now accommodates guests from all over the world. In 2008 a new build extension was added to the hostel, providing additional space and enabling us to offer reasonably priced accommodation for our guests, close to the 'Ostbahnhof' and 'Alexanderplatz'. Centrally located in the middle of the trendy district of Friedrichshain, between Karl-Marx Allee and Ostbahnhof, Pegasus Hostel is within easy reach of numerous transport links. The 'Straße der Pariser Kommune' leads from the Ostbahnhof directly to the hostel. Our reception is manned 24/7 and is available at all times, even if your arrival has been delayed. ... more   less
