The hostel was amazing: we had great e-mail contact beforehand, it was easily accessible, the staff was friendly and actually liked their job. The room was clean and big lockers were installed for each guest. The breakfast buffet was great! (and included in the price ;))

Old-fashioned building and unsociable environment. My room was cold (I would provide more blankets and make sure that the heater is on before guests check in) and there weren't enough plugs to charge phones and laptops. However, the staff was very helpful and I would recommend this hostel for school trips. Breakfast is decent and they also do a dinner...

Massive old school created into an awful so called "Hostel ". Unfriendly staff upon arrival, the bedding in the room was old & smelly. The room was soo hot, no aircon with these huge windows which you couldn't open for your own safety as someone could nearly climb in!! If traveling alone don't stay here! Nothing around it to experience,...

We stayed in a room with 2 double deck. The toilet and bathroom was common. It was well-maintained and clean. Breakfast was sufficient and since our next trip was early morning they gave us packed bread, fruits and drinks. Staffs were very helpful and accommodating. Location is just right.

No doubt for me to give five star for this place. With price offered, it is super. Do not compare with US's hostel. You might hear schoolies around because they use this place a lot. But if you close your window, you wouldn't hear it. The bed is thin, but works well. German doesn't believe with AC and you wouldn't...

This hostel wasn't my first choice for a private room, but for the price I couldn't say no. My room was basic but clean and modern as befits HI. Now I know this is a youth hostel, and caters mainly to youths, but I still thought it was a little noisy a little too late. There is a large courtyard...

We stayed at the hostel for one night only in a twin room for an unbelievably cheap price - $20 per night!!! We expected to get twin room with shared bathroom but were so surprised to see ensuite bathroom (shower and toilet) inside our room! And don't forget free breakfast (not so bad) and free good working wi-fi everywhere! That's...

...this is the hostel! Nice hostel with great breakfast. A good place to sleep if you have earplugs with you. Otherwise the noises from the corridor will disturb you. We had our own room with shower/toilet and the room was plain but clean. No towels in the room but soap/shampoo included.

I stayed in hostel with a bigger group. I would say that the hostel is in good condition and it has good price. The rooms were clean and the location is walking distance to a few sights. Maybe for some it can be a little bit too far, but for us the location was ok. I would recommend it!

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
