Can't really praise this hotel enough. We stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and the breakfast were first class; everything we could have wished for.

I stayed at the Swissotel for five days as a solo traveller, and I highly recommend staying here. I wouldn’t stay at the Swissotel if you’re after ‘hip’ Berlin, as it’s in pretty much in the opposite side of the city for that. There is a bit of a business atmosphere about the place, too, though when I was there,...

My first impession of the hotel was slightly under what I had expected. Wrong. Services were very good, location quite convenient and the staff was politely friendly. A very good option when doing business in Berlin !

This was our first trip to Berlin. It was a business trip but we went a few days early to explore the city. We arrived the night Germany lost in world cup games. The hotel was noisey all night long. The street noise awakened us, however, we were told that it would have been even noisier had Germany won their...

Stayed for one night and was pleasantly surprised. Arrived tired and hot from a day of rabid sightseeing. A pitcher of cold, minted water by the reception desk was really welcome. The staff at the front desk could not have been more helpful. The free internet was great. The bed must have been awfully comfortable, as I barely remember hitting...

I spent 3 enjoyable nights here and was very pleased by the size of the room and its cleanliness. The staff was very professional and welcoming, clearly a cut above. Room service was excellent and the restaurant was superb, though a bit of a splurge price-wise. I would recommend getting a room with a view of Ku-damm so you can...

Good location (if you prefer West-Berlin), elegant and modern interior, but a bit bland room with quite a small bathroom. Very nice restaurant (and adequate breakfast). Friendly, but a bit clumsy service: an internet reservation was not found (!), making the check in complicated; then - because of this - the staff at the breakfast reataurant quite abruptly was claiming...

I stayed at this hotel for four nights with friends whilst visiting Berlin for leisure. Arrival/Check in: On arrival, the taxi door was opened by the bell staff and help with luggage offered (and refused -I'd carried my small bag all the way from the UK, I think I can manage for the last few steps). You walk into the...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
