In general the hotel has a high standard. As a building engineer I am used to study the functional and architectural details, and I think this hotel has nice rooms and furniture, unlike many other hotels. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. But I did not like the menu. That is because vegetarian food is not...

Really enjoyed stay and would definitely recommend to any vegans. Hotel was welcoming and comfortable and in a good area with easy access to transport. Food was very good and it was a pleasure to eat there. Felt relaxed and well looked after. Would have liked to have tried spa but unfortunately this was too short a trip. Hope to...

Nice atmosphere, comfortable bed, located close to nice restaurants. A bit disappointed with the staff at the restaurant but good experience overall. Wanted to enjoy the Sauna but didn't get the chance to.

A comfortable hotel with a very good breakfast. The staff is friendly and competent. Once you learn your way around in the public transport system ,although located in the eastern part of Berlin, any places are easy to reach in short time. A construction site nearby caused some noise during the day, but at night and sunday it was quiet...

I loved this hotel. The food was tasty, interesting and vegan. The overall style of the hotel was beautiful. The rooms were basic but really comfortable. This part of Berlin is really good for bars and cafes. It caters really well for vegans. There was some noise as there is building work but I didn't find this a problem. The...

The hotel is next to a building under construction and very noisy. Also, noise from some kind of mutual water heating system. The so-called SPA is just a sauna. You have to be early at breakfast - when the platters were empty, it was not always filled up. However, the staff in the reception is very service minded and helpful

A modern hotel located in the eastern part of Berlin. It's easy to travel into the city and there are plenty of small shops in the nearby area. Their breakfast was excellent with a vegan & vegetarian menu. Overall it was a great place to stay in Berlin.

I booked and paid for this hotel late Friday night, very tired, online at the last minute, just a few hours before my intended departure to Berlin. I lost internet connection during booking, and was so tired when i got it back I hadn't noticed that the calendar date had jumped exactly one month ahead. On arriving in berlin late...

Almodovar is fairly new on the Berlin scene, and is marketed as a 'bio-hotel'- meaning along organic/ethical principles with a vegan/vegetarian only menu. The hotel is furnished simply and stylishly with dark wood furniture, cotton drapes and unique felt furniture pieces all accentuated by lighting pieces and artwork. It looks good. The room had a firm super king bed, shower...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
