Location comes first, metro just around the corner (literally) - line U6 taking you you the centre and important galleries and museums, tram in front of hotel - two stops to Hauptbanhof, convenient even with luggage. Basic rooms comfortable and equipped with all you need. Service quick and friendly.Free wi-fi of good quality, decent bar with good local wines.

The first advantage of this Mercure is its location - about 200 metres from the airport bus TXL stop at Invalidenpark, two stops on the tram (M5, M8 and M10) from the central station, and close to the U-bahn. It's just over 1km to walk to the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and Unter den Linden and about the same to...

I've been here at the end of 2016 and I appreciated. Hotel is cozy and well located, strategically closed to main connections. Service is good and staff is nice. Suggested especially of you are a tourist.

They don't have extra bed hence they gave us extra room for my son. Overall not bad as their rooms were all spacious and clean. They have free water too. Their hotel reception area is quite modern and also look like boutique hotel.

I stayed here form 21st Oct to 24th Oct 2016 with my friends. Hotel is good, rooms are small but clean and warm. Breakfast is good. U - Bahn is very close and you can catch Tram in front of the gate. Despite it is located at main road you will not hear any noise due to sound proof windows....

This was one of my worst hotel experiences in Europe. First of all, as a business traveler, Wi-Fi is a priority for me. As it there was no connection in my room, I asked to be moved to another room. They rejected my request and insisted on solving the technical issue. After a day and a half, they gave up...

All in all we had a good stay in this hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast offers a big choice and the lobby, restaurant/bistro/bar area (whole ground floor) is newly renovated. We were not so happy with the room. The rooms are very small, the furniture and layout are exactly as in an Ibis hotel and the bathroom needs...

I've stayed in many hotels in Berlin and found this one to be the best so far. It's a bit nicer than the typical Mercure and it's located right by a U-bahn line as well as a tram stop and the TXL bus stop. Unbelievable convenience. There is a market around the corner to purchase supplies and several ethnic eateries...

Stayed in November between the beer festival season and the Christmas market season, during local half term. The hotel is in a great location with a tram stop right outside. It's a couple of direct tram stops from the mainline railway station, which in turn has direct bus to and from Tegel airport. The hotel is smart but ordinary. There's...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
